A warning to all NOT to update your printer's firmware... I'm in the middle of a job that I need the printer for and I made the mistake of following my printer's prompt to update to new firmware, thinking that it might improve my printer's glitchy performance. Big mistake. Turns out that in doing so, my HP printer now recognizes that my current ink cartridges have printed over a certain amount of pages, and locked them so they can never be used again... even though I just refilled them. This is to prevent people from refilling/ recycling cartridges or from using non-HP cartridges. I reset my printer to its factory settings but the cartridges I have here are now forever useless. Grr, this sort of corporate B.S. should be illegal.

I just bought this printer because the same happened with my last printer although the cartridges were new.

Not having a good time with this setup. My HP Envy Photo 7800 was removed from this connection site as I tried to order refill printer ink for it since they had not sent anything for the last month and I am running out. They did however bill me for February but where's the ink? Also I've been trying to add my printer name back into printer description but it i not accepted?????? HELP I am running our of ink and need it now. Is there even a robot to help instead of all these Help messages??

i wont recommend this printer. we both 4 HP deskjet GT 5810 and sad to say all of them have same problem. After two months of using it the black or the color wont print properly. we returned it to supplier and they tried to repair it still didn't work properly. They even replace us with same model but have same problem after 2 months.
