Just got mine two days ago. Really happy with all of it. Now I just need to come up with the best most efficient way of painting them.

I did a black undercoat and dry brushed the core colors on. Still took a while!

i recomend putting 5 or so in a line and painting say all the boots or all the hats or all the uniforms or backpacks

They're a lot of figs, and they're all the same. Never mind skill, it's going to be a test of endurance! I've painted one sprue of each now, in between some other projects. Maybe I'll try and do a sprue a week or something...

I painted one sprue tonight, to gaming standard. Honestly, despite using the “paint the unit, not the individual method” the biggest challenge is going to be monotony. They’re all pretty much the same. I’ll likely paint a sprue here and there between other projects and chip away at them.

I thought this was a model not a game but still could be a model for a diorama cuse it has all the soilders horses Calvert cannons flags ECT you need for a good size diorama battle field

I don't like that the units are in line formation. No columns etc. for road movement. Maybe the game focuses on the up-close fight and not the maneuver. Think I will pass on this.

Just recently was aware of Warlord games properly.. Seems like GW, how they were when I grew up - a nice little company with passionate people making fun games and nice models.. Tempted to get into this ACW thing..

I know what you mean! Warlord are a fantastic company and I cannot imagine how I would have gotten into historical wargaming without them - they make it a lot more accessible. The Epic range is an interesting one; it’s still in its infancy range-wise but is far less of a commitment to get into than the giant armies you need for Black Powder at 28mm. I say go for it!

@@axisandaliens I do still play some GW stuff, but old games.. And i did play Flames of War10-15 years ago, but stopped enjoying that.. So this seems like the new stuff I should give a go. Seems like a nicecommunity too, these histporical games if thise era.. And i love the look of them.. :) I probably will!

@@ja37d-34 Yes I still dabble in GW games too now and then and I do still love Flames of War. Historical gaming has such a larger scope than just 40K and that exploration is what is so exciting and satisfying to me. Lots of thoughts to share, I'll have to create a video about it sometime.
