Bought this at Essen Spiel and played it twice solo. Such a great game. Plays very nice solo. The theme is very nice and rather different from your usual topics. The counters are good but need careful removing, although the circular ones come out very easy. As you mentioned, the historical notes are great. And have I mentioned the board. Gorgeous!

Orleans - It's a Euro game from like 2014 that Grant owns. The art style reminded me of Border Reivers

@@ThePlayersAid That's great to hear! Of course. I hope this is your full-time job because you are both really prolific with these videos. It's hard to imagine how you absorb these insanely complex games so quickly. Have you considered doing videos which form a sort of updated opinion on games? What I mean is that you revisit some games after 5, 10 etc... plays and then tell us whether they've grown on you or not. I remember thinking during The British Way, "I wonder how the guys feel about this 10 plays later. Is it still fresh? Or has the shine worn off?" For Versailles 1919, I find that it gets better with more plays and I suspect many GMT games are like that - you only start to really appreciate the depth of the mechanisms/rules a few games in. Just an idea. Thanks for the response. 👍
