In a video of the Phoenix Models factory, it is seen that they manufacture the Calmato. Made in Vietnam.

Congrats Mark, I had the Calmato trainer as first nitro plane and I loved it. Very well made and robust ARFs from Kyosho. They used to come with a Kyosho 46 two stoke engine as well. Looking forward to see your assembling video.

Hi there, you will love this plane. I have the purple version and it flys great. Its very well built by Kyosho and really stable in flight for a low winger. Mine is powered by an OS 55ax two stroke and its one of my favourite planes to fly and I've been flying for 35 years now. Yes its covered with toughlon, the same material that my World Models super frontier senior is covered with. Good luck with your plane and have many happy landings. Nice video by the way. I enjoyed watching it.

You were certainly lucky with the hole in the packaging ! I had a very similar model, a Seagull 40 fitted with an OS46, the best flying model I've ever had. Unfortunately on the fourth flight I had a radio malfunction causing it to crash, which it didn't survive, one disadvantage of the lightweight construction. I'll watch yours with interest, and I'll look out for something similar to buy.

It must be the same the world over, big writing saying fragile but still gets damaged, think its done on purpose. You was really lucky with that damage position. Really packed well to avoid damage BUT you can not allow for morons who handle
