Unboxing Gecko Models 1/35 Canadian Ram Mk.II Kangaroo kit and I check out some new "FUNNIES" sets

In this Video, i will be unboxing the much-anticipated Gecko Models 1/35 Canadian Ram Mk.II Kangaroo kit. This kit just arrived from Hong Kongs, so watch as I go through all the sprues.
Also, I check out some new Sherman Conversion sets from Lanmo Model. They are the Sherman M1A1 dozer for "VVSS" tanks and also the Crab Flail for the Sherman M4, M4A2 and M4A4.

My father commanded the first squadron of Kangaroos.They went into their first action with 72 Priest spg's. They soon switched to the Canadian built Ram. It didn't carry as many infantry but had a lower profile and was faster. He picked the name because he had worked for Hobart on the DD tank and Hobo had a penchant for naming his funnies after an appropriate animal. They were formed in the field, disbanded in the field and not repatriated to Canada, ( a shame )

Excellent video Nick, this looks like great kit. Didn’t expect the interior tbh.. And for the tracks on the Mk.. my tracks for the Whippet are a bit brittle but manageable. Looking forward to see the results you make with the kangaroo 🤘🏻👍🏻😁

Im glad a full interior was included, including the engine. Great for a diorama! Oh right, hopefully they arent too much hassle for you. Im sure you will nail it! 😊👍🏽

Great review Nick! The Ram Mk II looks like a great kit. I have a few German armour kits to paint and weather, just sitting there waiting for me to pull my finger out, and once done, I want to start on Allied armour, and the Ram looks really interesting. Can I ask which kit brand the Mk IV is? It is a subject that interests me, but can’t really decide on a suitable kit. Also, the Outlaw paint range looks good, so I may get a hold of some to try. They say their paints are airbrush ready, but what is your take on that. Great channel mate, and it is good to see a few fellow Aussies on YT now. Hope to see a lot more in the future, and cheers for now!

Hi Gary, thank you for watching my video. Im planning on using a different camera next video. Id love to see your builds and what you are working on!! The Ram looks like a very nicely detailed kit. I cant speak for fit yet, but I may start it soon. The mk.IV is the Takom kit, a very nice kit but a lot of parts. Im not sure how it would compare to the Tamiya kit. As for Outlaw Paints, i swear by them. They lay so level and consistent, and thin, but with great coverage...if that makes sense. If you can, definitely give them a go. Thanka once again for watching my video, i really do appreciate it! 😊👍🏽

@@the_scale_armourer Thanks for the info Nick. I did notice that the camera you were using had trouble with focus, so a different rig might be beneficial. Regardless, I like the relaxed way in which you present your videos, and since I subscribed, I have watched all the content you have produced. I am sure that the channel will grow quickly mate, particularly with a few video builds under your belt. With good content, and good presentation, you can’t go wrong. I will definitely have a look, at the Takom Mk IV, and I will certainly be trying the Outlaw paints, as they sound like they are easy to use. I have a Facebook account somewhere, and I will try and resurrect it and attempt to post a few photos of my builds. Be patient, as I am old guy who is not savvy with all this technology. @@garylawless3608 yeah, i didnt notice it was struggling to focus until after I had recorded everything unfortunately. I have a new camera lined up so hopefully the next one will be better. Id love to see your builds, all in good time of course. No pressure at all though Gary! 😊👍🏽
