UPDATE: Harold from FigureManiaShow reached out to Hiya to ask about the spines and was told that there is no intentional change but they believe that overheating may have occurred during manufacturing, causing the plastic to shrink considerably during the cooling process. So, it seems we do in fact have an answer!

I really like this mold, but I can't justify having more than 2 of it personally, so I'm going to skip this one. Really looking forward to the heisei godzilla release though! This is a really good video

I love the fact that this is just blue Burning but finally with the transluscent look we wanted. I know some people said neither this nor Burning is accurate, like too much glowy color and all on the spines. But I feel like this is the look they have when doing the pulse, since the spines does lit up on both cases iirc. It is the same song and dance, but they did remix that damn song and make it different enough to rob my wallet. All and all, I can't wait for this guy to shipped here. I'll prepare some tamashii lightning effect for this guy and burning for my energized display. Luckily someone at my local online shop do sell the Spiral Studio-style Mothra exposion wings for Hiya Burning Goji. I hope Hiya did Energized Evolved Goji and Transluscent Burning Goji in this style. I need the Mountain Dew variety flavours display, man. This truly did came out of nowhere. In the word of Sheev Palpatine, "a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one".

I think there is some mold degradation going on because right out of the box the left shoulder on my Pre-Evolved Godzilla is loose and it rattles. The paint apps on this don't look accurate to what we saw in the film to me so I'm actually glad I canceled my pre-order. I'm looking forward to new Godzilla designs from Hiya and the larger scaled Monsterverse Godzilla they displayed at SDCC. Looking forward to my 2014 Godzilla still.

I got this on preorder for next year it looks great, but im gonna have to retire owning the Legendary Godzilla soon lol. However, there should have been an emp like blast effect imo, or even some miniature drones on wires would have also been great. Good job on the review again Goatee Kanuck

I'm honestly a bit disappointed in this release.. not only because of the color difference from the prototype but also because the hands are not really compatible with other figures without it looking bad. It honestly disappoints me.. especially considering i was really looking forward to it... I'm still getting it.. but I'm not all that hyped for it.

I feel like the figures actual coloration compared to the promo images is a bit disappointing. But yet again it is very cool to have a goji with a blue paint that brings out the details.

Unfortunately I am disappointed with this release. This blue is so bright that it sometimes seems to change to green. It's a shame because I was positive about this figure

Are there seam lines along the back? If not, I wonder how it can be mold degradation without obvious signs elsewhere on the skin. Also, the comparison pic shows such a difference that you'd expect less quality overall if it wasn't a conscious decision to retool the spines.

It's a very strange situation. If it was a conscious decision, maybe a safety thing? Those first spines were pretty sharp I guess

Ngl, this doesn’t look quite as good as the promotional pics. It looks really pale compared to the deep rich blue that we saw in the photos. I was thinking of getting this as my monsterverse Godzilla alongside Kong, but I’ll probably wait for the burning version instead

Its color is fucked up it should just be a regular blue and the cryan effects is how he barely looks like hes energized and he more looks like hes drowned in toothpaste Quite dissapointed couldve been ok
