I have tried 20+ paddles including the Gen 3 Joolas, but I come back to the Ruby every time. Super interested in the 14mm. Will give it a bit more power and pop and allow for more customization with lead tape. Anyone know when it's coming out? I much prefer the shape and swing weight of the Ruby. Not especially interested in this TBD.

I really appreciate how the paddle is actually different from anything out there and not just a longer handle DbD. im curious regarding how this compares with the other 18Ks- the shapeshifter ($190 retail) and the 18k Diedem/power (wait for sales lol). kinda stinks about SwSp bc if it were nice, it prob wouldn't need lead. maybe a tad towards the bottom to shore up stability and give it more power? Much luck, hope there is a general release and price drops.

I think the sweetspot near the top will be inciting for tennis players who are used to making contact there. I feel like not a lot of paddles have a sweetspot that is closer to the top of the paddle.

As a former tennis player looking to up my pickleball game, I'm really excited to play with this paddle since it seems to be geared towards tennis players. What should I expect to notice differently coming from using a Luxx Control Air with tungsten tape?

If you weight this paddle up it will have old school Wilson ProStaff 85/90 vibes. Hit the sweet spot and you will feel precision and control. It will have a more solid dense feeling than your weighted Luxx CA. Feedback will not be as springy or as responsive as the the Luxx but it’s nots so muted that you can’t feel the ball. The total weight of the paddle makes a difference on how tired your shoulder and arm feel afterwards. All you guys are on the swing weight is all that counts, wrong. Swing weight is just the feeling of the pivot.
