Unboxing my 1st AR-15 Rifle. NYS & CA Compliant

Cool starting point. I am not new to AR’s. So I have a piece of advice. Take some time and decide what you want to use your AR for. Make a list what accessories you need and go from there. Impulse buys and KZbin influencer’s should be limited. Magpul sights are a must and should be first addition to the gun. And one more comment. Optics, I would not use anything with out a lifetime warranty. Vortex and Primary Arms are solid choices and avoid Amazon/E-Bay specials. My home Rifle cost me a lot more than my issue Rifle. Proven components are more important than cost. When it your cash return on investment is key.

Thanks. It sure is a damn headache in NY, I had to ask my FFL a bunch of questions to make sure I don't end up serving life in jail for an "illegal" AR. Thankfully the guys at my FFL are really nice and knowledgeable, always taking time to answer my Noob questions. What part of NY are you in?

I am looking at the same gun with the removable mag. New york state compliance. It has no add ons. Did you look at that also ? What do you think of it.

@tif321dc Hey Dan. Yes I was looking at one from blackrain that's NYS compliant but for my 1st AR I wanted one with all the features that I can't get with the detachable mag option. I recently shot one at the range and it ran great so my next AR might be featureless since I do want the drop mag option. Are you in NY, NJ or CA ?

Yes the FFL(gunstore) have to sell it to you modified to NYS compliance or they can't let you leave with it. They'll add a comp mag like mine or another fixed mag with a MA loader. Like I told our man averagegunnoob if you buy a cheap lower off of your local gun dealer you can have two lowers that one is for ny or Cali lower with the pin and have a extra lower without the pin so when shtf you swap it out with the non pin lower. I have it and when I’m in my own yard I will swap out my ny pin lower with my 🇺🇸🤫 true American lower so when shtf I can just use that and or just take the pin out which is totally easy to do without damaging your parts

Nice AR. But sorry for those stupid laws in NY and NJ. I lived in NJ for 3 years. Terrible states for gun laws. I'm back in Missouri. We can buy what we want legally. A fixed magazine I see sucks.

Hey buy a lower from your local gun ffl dealer and get your lower part kit off of psa and just have a complete lower built with the mag release 😮😮😮😮😮😮 so now you have your back up shtf lower with your release button!!! Or just see that the atf and nfa are just trying to scare you when in all reality we can have anything we want 😮😊 they just say you can’t and have to go with nys law when ny and Cali and anywhere else with this non real law has and just say 🖕🇺🇸🫡 we are American we can have a drop mag and it’s not a felony okay it’s in our constitution so let them try and you can sue and have their butts in federal jail. How I know because my area and the law enforcement loves my build and matter in fact they suggest you to have the drop mag and your attachments for your ar so governor hutchel is just a joke and quack that has no education for our constitutional rights

@@javvar2u14 they shipped to my house all the time in upstate ny my friend. Don’t be jokes with upstate ny. Unless your in the city then they won’t but here in upstate ny they will ship anything that’s not a lower frame because it’s a firearm but the upper and the lower kit is 100 💯 legal to have shipped to your house because it’s not considered a firearm. Hope this information helped
