For the space Under the sink, can you probably find a small tension rod and hang those spray bottles there? You will utilize vertical space and have more space on the bottom to use 😊

I understand the stairs dilemma--even fully awake, I'd worry about hitting my head. I'd probably have to visually extend that beam down (with a garland or banner or boxes on the stair treads) so I'd stay over to the side. It'll be a nice storage space, if nothing else! So glad you're on the adventure you've been waiting for, even though it meant sleeping on the floor for a bit.

For your empty cabinet, I would put small shelves and put glasses, bowls and plates there. If I remember well from your previous video there are also 2 or 3 spaces under the stairs to do the same. For kitchen things you use less, in nice boxes. And for your kitchen shelf, I would find (or diy) a few pink boxes to store dry food. Next to glass jars. It is very usefull when you have a small kitchen to have all your food at sight, so you don't store that much. And it easier to cook. You can also put nice spices, and why not a few small aromatics herbs.

Hi Hermione! I'm a new subscriber. Just randomly discovered your channel one day and got hooked. I used to live in a loft apartment and it's better to have your sleeping space upstairs if you don't want your mattress to stink(When you cook). What a tricky loft! Have you thought of maybe putting a sheer/ blackout curtain (whatever your preference is) in the loft in front of the rail and putting the head of your bed against it? You'd go up the stairs, and depending on whether you have enough room you could have a proper little bedside table or even try and mount a small renter friendly table on the rail even. And you could also put up a little sconce or rechargeable reading light?

If you ever decide to move the bed upstairs this sounds weird but I would suggest putting command strips or velcro strips on the beam and covering it in a nice cushion foam and fabric or green foam and sticking flowers/greenery in there so that if you accidentally bump your head it won’t hurt lol

I really recommend either making by yourself or having a 3D model made of your apartment in the free online version of sketchup. I had a course in 3d modeling at uni and since then I've made models of my apartments from the blueprint in the lease and/or my own measurements. It's so nice to be able to play with the floor plan without physically moving the furniture around. Either that or drawing out plans to scale on gridded notebooks

Now in saying this, know that I love you!!! You’ve been given all that space and you’re not using it efficiently. People would die for a bedroom loft even if the stairs are awkward. Don’t disappoint us…please turn that space into a cute bedroom and leave the couch/ dinner area without a bed. Also don’t keep laundry in the kitchen, you have such little kitchen storage and you want to keep dirty clothes in there🤯 you got this, sit down and draw out your room, use cut outs to move couch, etc around. Place everything with purpose and style….

I have lived in my share of studio apartments you may find is better to have the bed away from the kitchen but if that is not an option it may good to have an air purifier specially since you sleep near to help with the cooking smells as they get into fabrics and live there forever. Since you don't have too much storage space for food maybe you can built yourself some drawers for inside the cabinet? With that deep of a cabinet a seperation is needed but through more shelves it might get hard to reach the items further in the back so, diying some kind of drawers for inside would optimize the space and make it easier to organize. Same goes for the oven cupboard, since you probably want to use the outlet there for your kitchen machines, maybe putting the two muji drawers that you use as a bedsidetable at the moment insinde and then store bigger stuff like oil etc next to it and maybe spices in one if the drawers and some of your favorite foods/snacks in the other? You see, my brain can only think of drawers 😂 The bed nook looked so cozy, and how you put the dresser was also the first space I thought about for it when you showed the space for the first time. :) Glad to see you so happy in Seoul! Have nice easter holidays :)
