Unboxing my latest and much anticipated HPI Savage XL GT6 5.9

The 25 was my first Savage. Just amazing how yours looks, congratulations on that. Holding off on the new Savages until HPI sorts out the shifting problems the Savages are having. I have the last gen 4.6 and it’s stuck in second so no wheelies. The adjustment screw in the transmission is a little askew so I can’t get a driver in their properly to adjust it. Need to find the time to remove the transmission and sort the whole thing out. Here’s to yours 🍺 not having any issues.

@@KashifKhan-nj1nx well apparently the issues have been resolved I’m of the opinion they probably just added shims hear and there if you look through my videos you will see all the issues I had and what it took to fix them now however I have a beast of a truck fast powerful and reliable so it’s well worth getting the truck anyway and upgrading as necessary! Hope you get one and enjoy it trouble free 👍

Yeah, now just replace the servos the throttle linkage, differential gears. Fix all the problems with the transmission and hey, you have what started out as a overpriced $700 truck now as a $1000 overpriced truck. Awesome! Oh don’t forget the toe link eliminator set so that you can land without breaking shit. That will be another $75😂 Thank you, come again… P.S to eliminate the half tank lean issue, use more fuel hose. Coil two loops and ziptie it to the grab handle and into the carb.

Yes this video was soon after they were released and problems were not publicised but as you will see from other videos the truck had many problems and took a lot of time and money to make good 😂

Longer fuel line a lot longer, a silicone exhaust add on. And some tank mod’s . Join my fb group and you will Get the best advice! (S.O.S save our savages and other beautiful Nitros)

Buena tardes, soy de España y estoy mirando para comprar el nuevo Savage XL GT6 5.9, me gusta mucho su vídeo he visto que tienes el Savage 25 del 2002 que yo también tengo, pero lo tengo parado hace un mes mas o menos porque no encuentro amortiguadores ya que se me rompió 1 el delantero izquierdo, me podrías decir donde lo podría conseguir ? Aquí me dicen que esta descatalogado, me gustaría tener los dos y en un futuro un tercero ya que somos abuelo, padre y nieto los enamorados de estos modelos. Muchas gracias por anticipado.

You will find the shock absorber on eBay maybe. Sometime it’s cheaper to buy an old broken Savage 21 or 25 and use them for parts👍

I love them both the xl is just a beast however my Savage 25 is my pride and joy
