I have an 8x7, 10x8, 12x9, 16x14 and 22x16 and it sounds incredible. I had a maple kit before it and this just sounds so next level. It sounds even better after the stock heads have been broken in though.

Wow that sounds and looks awesome! h.o. My only issue with two colored sets is the orientation of the kick. All the toms and snare batters get (in your case) purple, yet kick's batter side is green... I see, in the front angle, that the center of the set (like, where the rack toms snare and kick meet) is green and as you move outwards it gets purple and sure that's a logic but it is not seen from that many angles. Also with that logic: floor toms' batters are closer to that 'center' so, their batter sides should also be green?? See what I mean 😅 I also love that kick sound, contrary to many people here 🫶

I previously owned a new Starclassic Performer kit, but I couldn't get the sound I wanted from it; it sounded too thin. I realized I prefer the sound of Gretsch, Yamaha, Sonor, and DW over Tama. However, Tama's hardware is ridiculously good.

@@JanusJanavas it depends on how you tune it, to me, this kit sound full and really open. I also have a full bubinga kit that sounds awesome to me. You can also have a really good DW collectors but with some old heads and poor tuning you will not be so satisfied. But I see your point of view. Thanks for the comment. All the best! 💪🏼

@@flaviushosu7564 The Tama Bubinga has always been my dream kit. You've got some nice drums! My Maple/Birch kit has always felt lacking in tone, no matter how I tuned it or which drum heads I used. It seemed like it was missing something in the low-mids that I just couldn’t dial in. I definitely preferred the sound of double-ply heads over single-ply, though. When I listen to Gretsch drums, they’ve got that fat, rich low-mid tone that I’ve never really heard from any other kit. It makes sense why so many drummers use their endorsed kits live but track with Gretsch in the studio. I’m planning to try them out in person soon.

I would assume there's an Audix D6 in the bassdrum. it has a particular "pre EQ'd" sound with less mids and boosted high and low frequencies. I like the sound of that Bassdrum, especially for harder playing styles. It's all personal taste I guess.
