The tax hike happened a year or so ago. Before that within the area, ( New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York ) comparisons of what you're paying at the pumps, on the local news channels consistently showed you paid lower at the pumps in New Jersey.
@bracdude1815 жыл бұрын
@D Waggs True. Gas prices aren't too awful here. They are actually going down at the moment:) You'll suffer if you drive an older car though. My car has an 18.5 gallon tank. Costs like $35 to fill it and I have to accelerate slowly so I don't burn through all my gas. I'm fine with this, but the other very impatient drivers aren't.

@Ryan-kb8ui5 жыл бұрын
I don't know how or when it happened, but we definitely adopted that "New York state of mind", like screw you get out of the way or get rolled over, idk why, it just pisses me off when other people driving act like they're the only ones who have places to go and people to see, when turning left they don't stick their nose out and hop on the opportunity to go, they sit behind the line and just wait for the light to turn red, drives me nuts.

@bracdude1815 жыл бұрын
@Stun What about those who drive slowly because they are simply obeying the driving laws? What about those who drive older cars and need to save on gas? I can understand someone blocking the left lane, but please don't get angry at those who drive a bit slower than you. Impatience has already led to the death of many drivers in NJ, and it's something that everyone really needs to learn. Otherwise their morning commute will turn lethal, and there won't be a home or family to return to at the end of the day when that happens. We understand that you are busy, but please don't make that our problem.

New Jersey has phenomenal food and culture and it is directly related to the fact that we are incredibly diverse. In fact, there are so many cultures and colors here that I'd say the richness of our diversity pretty much puts the rest of the country to shame. It is how America should be, a melting pot where you see every walk of life. Most states, even the ones that claim to be diverse, are not like that. Also, it is heavenly not to pump your own gas. I miss the intelligence and diversity of the people in NJ. People here are sharp and cultured. I miss the delicousness of the food. I miss how authentic the relationships are. Honestly I see everyone going too fast in the left lane. I can understand 75-79 MPH but half of the drivers are up past 85! On the plus side, it's hilarious to watch the speed freaks get stuck the right lane not knowing that it's illegal to pass in the slow lane for a good reason XD

I grew up there and hated it - so glad my father decided to move down to central Florida when I was younger. Whenever I visit family in NJ, I’m always at awe at the lack of ‘free market’ - it’s just old govt buildings, factories, two story houses, and a few bakeries. No thank you.

Born and raised in New Jersey. Moved out over 20 years ago and live in North Carolina. I went back about 2 years ago and was completely traumatized driving up there. New Jersey does have the greatest food.

This guy is another outsider with strong opinions of NJ. Especially the city areas. The state is full of people like him coming in to areas like Newark and Jersey City to work or to any one of our shopping malls for a deal. He has the nerve to show NY football teams as if they don't practice and play in NJ.
@misslacolebaby7345 жыл бұрын
Yeah but it’s really boring in South Jersey, but it all depends on what you prefer which is the good thing. Depending on your speed you can live in any part.
@misslacolebaby7345 жыл бұрын
I agree, they are gentrifying the city areas and making it sky high, like it’s nice that everything is close with out driving. Like when I went to live back in Central NJ, it was like here I go always driving but I don’t mind it that bad just that I have to travel but nothing too far. 30 min tops.
