Those look like solid miniatures. I really only have experience with warhammer and model aircraft from my youth.

How does the size compare with AoS?? I recently got Frostgrave Barbarians - and had to say I was pleasantly surprised, I thought the miniatures were quite detailed with a lot of options. The only downside is the size. In comparison to GW minis they are a little on the small side. I’m currently adding them to a board game I’m making, but call them dwarfs, as otherwise they would make rather small men, in comparison to say the SteelHelms that I’ve got. Trouble is at the moment games workshop don’t really have a variety of fantasy miniatures, that will suit my purposes. I’m wanting a variety of hero archetypes, that will fit into my game. Elves dwarfs, barbarians etc. My game is based on the Heroquest template. So going back to my original question, are these ostmark models similar in size to the frostgrave? As they do have a dwarf and elf range that I’m interested in…. Thanks

Thank you so much for your question. They are indeed the same size as frostgrave, so noticeably smaller then AOS. They do have a huge range of character models that should fit most of the needs you have. Check out North Star military website, they have the full range. Really interested to hear about your game. @@blackdicegamingltd So Northstar will be slightly bigger in scale? It’s annoying oathmark have some good elf Ranger type units, but again… they’d be “small elves” !!

​@@LaMOi1 The Northstar figures will match the Oathmark minis, they're the same manufacturer. Northstar's range is large enough that you probably wouldn't need to use any Games Workshop minis if you didn't want to.

I do like this box, I'm not so sure about the shields, I would of liked to see the normal medieval type included.

I like them, but I can totally see that a more "fantasy " shield would have been better. They have a very roman feel.

@@blackdicegamingltd1 I learnt about those shields from bitter experience! I do love them though, and wish I could purchase them separately.

@@Khorpedon they look the same with the naked eye, I really had to look hard to work it out, I have just got the model from my desk. I haven't come across anyone selling them individually.
