Bonjour, je viens de recevoir la magica s mn PID, pourrais-tu me dire comment s’effectue la mise en route ? Je ne comprends rien au guide d’installation. J’ai déballé la machine, j’ai mis de l’eau dans le réservoir, j’ai allumé la machine avec le bouton sur On, j’ai entendu la chaudière se mettre en route, elle s’est arrêtée, mais rien ne se passe, la machine ne chauffe pas et l’écran du PID ne s’allume pas. Peut-être que j’ai oublié une étape ? Y’a t’il un robinet à ouvrir ? Merci de ton aide !!! Cordialement, Marie

Fun vid to watch. Espresso is definitely like cycling. In cycling, 2000 USD is a starter bike. In espresso, 2000 USD is a starter machine. That said, I’m trying to decide between the Bezzera Magica or the Profitec Pro 500. How are you liking the Magica?

thanks! yeah coffee and cycling really go well together. It looks like those machines have the same brewing unit so their quality will be pretty much the same, so it's a question of style and how you like them (as far as I can tell, I am by no means an expert)

Good choice, I have also just purchased. Crema extraction perfect but I need to work on my texture milk.

Nice! Yeah the espresso is flawless And i‘m still working on my milk/steaming skills, especially with soy milk it is a challenge

How is your machine doing? I bought the exact same machine from Coffee Italia a bit over a year ago. The tray would leak right from the start and eventually the heating element burnt out during normal use. I must say that Bezzera has poor quality control and Café Italia do not really replace anything under ”warranty”.

We had it for just over a year now and it is running fine, I hope it‘ll stay that way.

The machine looks great! I’m trying to decide between this, the rocket appartamento serie nera and the ecm mechanika v slim, all of which are around the same price range here in Canada. What made you decide on this one ?

We were deciding between the Bezzera and the Rocket!:) I liked that Bezzera has such a long history in making coffee machines and the (relative) simplicity that comes with it: especially the knobs (instead of wheels) to engage steam and hot water My girlfriends father got the ECM mechanika slim and its a really awesome machine, great if you want to save that little space and it feels even heavier and more robust, coffee wise it will all be really similar since they have the same brew group, the grinder is more important in fact;)

Hi nice machine, I also got one for a couple of days. It makes an annoying ticking sound every 20 seconds. Does yours do the same?

Hi! Thanks :) And actually yeah, although it is not every 20 seconds but more like every 2 mins, its normally the water detection that says if it has enough water or not, but it keeps doing it even when the tank is full sometimes

I have to say that the price/performance that you get is really good! Maybe I would go for a ECM if I had to purchase one again now that I‘ve felt and used one

@@sebibuchs Thank you for the reply, I do like your setup. So far I've got the the Magica, EMC Mechanika V Slim, and Profitec Pro 500 on my short list. Still researching all of these since there just isn't someone local where I can go to test drive any of these.

@@Mike_Genisys I know people with the ECM Mechanika V Slim and had the chance to make coffees with this very machine and it is excellent! You really get a feeling of high quality the moment you touch the porta filter and especially when you pull the mechanism to get your water running

Congratulations for your new Bezzera.. Is it safe to put it on top of an Ikea Kallax shelving unit? I bought a new Magica recently and was wondering if it'll fit in this shelf unit..

Thank you! Yes totally , at least for us. All 4 feet of the machine are 100% on the shelf so it stands securely.

@@bootapardesi6445 thank you, I appreciate that! Well for starters I really wanted a heat exchanger that is stylish and, since I am a stuent, not too expensive. The BZ10 surely is a great choice! I see that it heats up even faster (maybe because it is more compact?) and the size is nice if you have a smaller kitchen. I honestly did not consider the BZ10 but there are so many choices out there that I finally wanted to decide..the rocket espresso appartamento was also a favourite, of course it is a bit more expensive. Have a great day!

@@bootapardesi6445 I am currently reading myself into that, but I can't say too much..however I read reviews that state that if the machine is well dialed in (which the Magica is) then there is no need for a PID, or only if you want to enter deeper into the world of espresso culture
