Awesome stuff, that Adam and the Ants fold out picture is pure 80's! Love these classic album art work and being 12 inch they just pop, so much better than a CD cover, or even worse, a tiny thumb nail on a phone.

Great to see you just as excited to collect vintage vinyl as you do old toys. I do exactly the same and have been collecting both for 50 years. Always uncovering items I have never seen before although I have got to admit that space is a problem now. Have great fun with searching for more!

Impeccable taste, my friend! Duran Duran is one of my all time favorite bands, and as a bass player, John Taylor is on my top 10 best bassists list.

Absolutely. I've been trying to teach myself to play bass properly and for some stupid reason, chose Rio to learn. I'm getting there slowly, but my God, JT is a monster on the bass.

So nice to see you having such a fun time. Thanks for bringing us along. My first record buy was the single of The Reflex on my 10th birthday in May 1984. So we have a lot of overlap. Small thing, but it would be great if you could do the videos without shades on if possible. Nicer to see your face properly.

@@pkredbrooke1772 Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it and could relate. When I was filming on my sister-in-law’s balcony, I needed the sunglasses because it’s so bright, but we’ve just moved into our new house, so all future videos will be free of sunglasses.

Love places that just have shit everywhere, lol. Way more fun to go hunting. Was always more of a cassette tape guy. So I've just started buying them again. Strict focus: 80s compilation albums. They were huge here in Straya back in the day. Tho I can see myself doubling up with records. Totally 😆

Great finds! The Japanese pressings are usually superior pressings to western albums.

I'm also a fan of vinyl records, and have a small collection. My expereince with vinyl records is that they are sensitive to heat and can bend. Wonder how they would behave in the tropical heat of Thailand. Makes me wonder if vinyl records in warm climates would be made with a more heat resistant kind of vinyl. Any experience with this? Great albums btw 😀
@AllThings80s

So far, there's no obvious signs of these records being damaged by the heat but until I get a chance to play them, I just won't know.

Used to absolutely love Japanese versions because of the bonus tracks. Always seemed the way to go when I was younger. Bleh, never cared for DD (Wedding Album). Even though its odd that I got into them for Medazzaland. Edit: hahahah! Had the Decade VHS. Very similar experience. Knew exactly where you were going when you said sitting with your mom.

@@AllThings80s oh, one better, had the Greatest VHS and it had The Chauffeur... Glad you mentioned the video to remind me never to let my kids watch my tapes. They love the Wild Boys video though but most 7 year old boys would think its cool.

Nice haul of vinyl, but you really need to get a record player to get that authentic experience, and find out that what you have just bought is covered in scratches and unplayable!
@AllThings80s
@AllThings80s 4 ай бұрын
Yes, that happened a few times with records I bought from Record Shak on Clerk Street.
@FFFFPPPP

They werent using computers to make album art back then. That graphic design tech didnt exist, yet. That’s all done manually by hand using cameras and any number of analog methods. I own a lot of obi stripped CDs given I would always pick up their CDs given the exclusive bonus tracks. You can probably obtain new vinyl of some of these records today. Vinyl have a bigger presence in Walmart, Target, and Best Buy now then CDs now. CDs have almost disappeared. They still make CDs fir almost everything (except smaller bands), but you have to go to the import scene given CDs are still plentiful outside the USA. Everything gets a vinyl release (including small bands) these days.

I don't think that record was sealed. It was in a resealable bag not in the original shrink wrap. Am I wrong here?
@AllThings80s
@AllThings80s 4 ай бұрын
I questioned this when buying it and was told they all came from the same collector, hence why the first four records I showed were in bags and this one was in a sealed package. Furthermore, the paper goods inside had never been touched before.

@AllThings80s that's cool. I just know I've bought records off discogs in a plastic resealable bag just like that but wasn't new. Not trying to piss on your find just want to point it out
