The 180 dual is, if I’m not mistaken, (I used to own one) is a transformer type machine; whereas, the 211 is an inverter. The 180c dual will eat a lot more power and give you less output. I have owned two 210MP’s (inverter as well) and they are far superior to the 180.

Nice I like the new setup on the turn dials verse the 210 which I own. It's a awesome machine 110 and 220 volts works good off a generator as well.

Are you going to test the 215 MPi? That machine is already out, Welding supplies from IOC has them for $1,299.00. Looks just like the 215 MPi minus the digital display and no stick welding. I do own the 215 MPi and so far is more accurate than the 210.

When plugged into a 120V outlet, must it be a 20 Amp circuit or will it work on a 15 Amp circuit (without burning my house down)? If it will work on 15 Amp circuits, it will be very useful for small jobs.

I just checked the lincoln website and they list it as needing a 20amp circuit if you want the max output using 120v. But you can still use it with the 15amp circuit if you plan to stay on the lower output or welding thinner materials.

I haven't used my MIG machine in years - Those 5kg rolls of wire are rare and expensive here, and so are the tiny gas bottles. Stick was cheaper.
