The finish on it is just beed blaster stainless,The frame of that pistol isn't alloy its also stainless and the mags are 17 rounds with a plus 2 base plate making them 19 round mags.

Where are you seeing that it is a stainless frame? Absolutely everywhere I looked to include the literature in the box stated it was alloy. The mags, yeah I guess could be considered 19 but I do prefer when companies market it as such: 17 (w/ +2 Base Plate).

@@GunBoxTherapy every p226 x5 other than the x5 and x6 light weight are completely stainless steel other than the mag funnel and I believe the base plates. I have the same supermatch and I have a first generation lvl 1 x5. I've also owned 2 others and can assure you it is stainless steel.

I get it. You think it’s stainless. However, can you please point me to either some Sig literature or some form of credible source that states this as a fact? I can’t seem to find that anywhere. The slide as well as the barrel are definitely stainless. The weight, feel and look of the frame do not indicate they are of the same material as the slide.

@@GunBoxTherapy all4shooters magazine did a review of it stating the same. There is an in depth review on KZbin by lifesizepotato stating the same, there is a promotional video from the launch of the gen 2 X-Five platform on KZbin by sig in German that states the same. A light weight model of this pistol wouldn't exist if what I'm saying wasn't true and im pretty sure something as simple as holding a magnet to the frame of your pistol would prove its not an aluminum aloy and lastly you can contact the people in myersville MD that imported your pistol or armory craft and let them tell you. This isn't my thought,its just common knowledge about the X-line of pistols.

@@GunBoxTherapy oh and page 42,section 4.4 technical data of your owners manual dosent say that your pistol has an aluminum frame. It states that the P-226 X-Five all around AL has an aluminum frame. That's a supermatch in your video so you would refer to the column next to it pertaining to the P-226 X-SIX match and disregard the barrel length,grip material and skeleton trigger to come up with the specs for your pistol. I could write a book on these pistols.....

Good review. Finish is just a satin stainless, there is no coating on the steel such as PVD. It is also a steel frame. Mags are 17 round + 2 with the basepads.

Very Nice! Wish there were some way to put an optic on it, like my P226 RX Legion. Hard to mill something like this, that is a bit of a collectors item. Cheers, Tony

There is a way without damaging the slide, you can remove the Backsight and replace it with a baseplate that takes several optic plates. Check out the Video which Sig guy made on this topic.

No, i think they still produce the Supermatch. I got one of the last models that was made in Germany, now they are made in the US :)

Crazy this guy has a nice expensive gun and doesn’t know much about guns. The finish is obviously bead blasted and the base of the mags obviously look like extensions. These are common things in a gun built for competition.
