Yeah, you just reviewed the PHEV one, not the MHEV. So you should talk details about the differences. PHEH has an impressive power add, also a very good pure electric range... But, overall, I like your presentation style...

Excellent review on a great car. A few additions, if I may. The Recharge model, which you reviewed, is a full plugin hybrid whereas the B6 is the mild hybrid with around 300hp and 310 lb.ft. of Torque. And nappa leather is more common than the wool blend. I favor the B6 because the Recharge eliminates the front fog lights and spare tire. The XC90 is one of my favorite cars and if I could afford it I’d trade in my first Gen. XC90 for this new one in a New York minute.

Lovely vehicle that really brought Volvo upscale. At this point it is long in the tooth however being in its 8th year. The display is small by today's standards, for instance. The EX90 will be the successor but that's EV only and some don't love the tablet not being integrated. Volvo is now going to a new generation of BEV only. I think of this car now almost as a modern classic.

Good points. I do like Volvos. They are top in safety. The tablet is smaller but i expect an update is coming.

Several new midsize, 3 row, hybrid SUVs coming out including the Volvo XC-90, Mazda XC-90 PHEV, and Toyota Grand Highlander hybrid. Volvo has the wagon vibe down pat and is classic looker but there a sure a lot of negative owner reviews including Mark at SavageGeese who had a terrible experience with his XC-90 (his may have been a true lemon & not representative of the car general reliability). Overall the Mazda looks like the top dog AND pricing appears to be the least of these three. What say you Loren?
