It’s pretty cool that some reviews are showing 1000nits HDR peak. It would mean that the C series is finally showing a meaningful brightness increase since 2019.

I have a complaint - you didn't show THE PEEL!!!! 😁😁😁 also a minor comment - whilst the stand is the same design, I love that the visible front section is now much darker than on the C3 & C2. I have one of these being delivered in a few days. I cannot wait :)

Was the C3 $2000 for 55 inch last year or has prices gone up?

@jiggerypokery2962 Retail price on the C3 was $1797.00, but it's currently on sale for $1297.00 on our website: www.abt.com/LG-55-OLED-evo-C3-4K-Smart-TV-2023-OLED55C3PUA/p/191534.html Retail price on the 55" C4 is $1997.00. It's a pretty large price difference at the moment because of the promotion on the C3, but the C4 is quite a bit brighter, has an updated OS, and better audio. Is there an accurate NIT (brightness) rating for this monitor? I've been hunting for a 48-55inch monitor with 2000nits of brightness or greater. Any ideas on this LG series?

@pinnaclephoto At 55" and above it's definitely brighter than the C3, but we don't have scientific tools for measuring the brightness so we don't have an exact number.

Rtings should be the first to get an acurate brightness measurement. The C4 is out for early access which means if shouldn't be too long before the TV is published for the public to see.

I bought this last week lg did not label the screws properly so you know which screws you use for the stand and which you use to attach it to the tv

@neiltaylor6645 The longer screws go into the bottom and front of the pedestal. The screws with a bit of thread lock (the blue stuff) on them go into the back of the TV.

@RaZ0R9111 They're both great TVs. The G2 will give you a slightly brighter picture, but the C4 supports up to 144Hz, which can be a benefit if you're a PC gamer.

@RaZ0R9111 You honestly can't go wrong either way. The C4 is newer by a couple years so we'd suggest that one, but if you want a picture that's a little brighter, the G2 is still a very good TV.

The c3 is very far from the g3. And what about the c4 from g4/g3. Ive read some reviews and they say that finally it has a real upgrade.

@diego1294 The C4 is definitely a step closer in brightness to the G4, at least in the 55" and larger models. But the G4 is still the best LG has to offer with its MLA technology. The C4 still offers an incredible picture though, and the audio quality was improved as well.

Worth upgrade from c3?

@zest1989 It depends on what your priorities are. The C4 is brighter (55" and above), has better audio built in, updated operating system, and supports up to 4K/144Hz which is good if you're a PC gamer with a good graphics card. If those are all features that you're looking for then yes, it's worth the upgrade. That being said, the C3 still has an excellent picture, so if you're a casual viewer you'll be just fine sticking with the that one.
