I think I am already exclusive to Amazon and on the Ingram site it says you can't publish through them if you have published with Amazon. Would I have to unpublish with Amazon and then try? If I can't, then I will never be able to publish wide.

Nope, at least not for paperbacks/hardcovers. I publish both through KDP(who services my Amazon sales) and through Ingram as well who covers Barnes/Chapters and etc.
