@@Nothingeverhappenschud 4 caliphs analogy is incorrect. 4 caliphs comes from a Hadith about 30 years of righteous successors. the 4 imams m, there were actually way more. like the madhab of Sufiyan athawri and abu Awzai'. the reason why we still have these 4 madhabs tho is cus they were politically pushed by governments.

I'd also recommend you Abdulaziz Almoghim's Jami ul Sunnah. He collected the authentic Hadiths out of 37 books of Sunnah it comes in only three volumes and he also removed repetitive Hadiths. It is a very good book for regular Moslims who want to read Sunnah directly without getting caught up in Sanad or repetitive Hadiths. It is so enjoyable to read and I'd recommend it for every household I wish it will be translated to English as well so many people can be benefited from it and have the same beautiful experience.

I really want to take shahada at home but I am a teenager and until I grow old enough to move out on my own I will have to participate in Christian holiday gatherings, live with dogs, possibly eat pork from time to time and there will be instances in which I cannot cover my whole body without them questioning me, etc. I would visit a mosque but the nearest one to me is an hour away and I can’t get a driver’s license for nine more months.
