Really enjoy the setup of your videos. You get a nice personal experience but you also list juicy info for us nerds in the corner. Ty for that!

I have nicholsonaie. It hasn’t bloomed yet. I’m not sure how long I’ve had it - feels like ages. I should give it more sun, but then I’d have to work out how to unwind it from its home. Spectacular set of plants. I hope they grow well for you.

Thanks so much! Well I love the fact that yours is so big that you would have to unwind it, lol. That’s a really good sign it’s doing well. So far these have been hit or miss and some are doing really well and some are going to have to be replaced because they’re not making it. But I knew that going in from ordering them halfway across the world.

@@FancyPlants We are not able to import from overseas - our customs laws are severe! I would feel so guilty if I accidentally introduced a new pest to our area if I broke the law and tried. And also scared of being thrown into jail! It’s actually quite incredible the plants survive that long of a journey all enclosed in cardboard and fluffy stuff.

Beautiful leaved hoyas, but wow, are they in some rough shape! It's going to take a lot of TLC to recover them, if they ever do. I think after seeing this video, any thoughts of purchasing internationally are out the window! Let's have a follow up video showing the results after several months.

You got it. I probably have 50-70 percent survival, and the rest perished, but it's worth it on some of the super rare ones. However, the super rare ones need babying in the greenhouse... they were doing great, then I had to go away for a week and I came back to most of those dead. Sigh. Guess it's part of the way it works. But don't give up. Some of these sellers have amazing Hoyas. Like super duper cool ones! I bet you can find some local ones.

I am a New Subscriber! Thank you for sharing as well as thank you for sharing the grower's name!❤️ Absolutely beautiful haul! 😍 Massive cuttings and leaves! I am very impressed! 😃 Will definitely purchase from him. Also, how long did it take to arrive? Please forgive me if I missed it.
@FancyPlants2 жыл бұрын
Welcome! You know, shipping was quick... they travelled quite a long way and have to go through the phytosanitary check, etc... I think all in all, from when I order to when they arrive is about 3-4 weeks typically, with one arriving in 2 weeks!

They look bad from shipping. How do you salvage that? How many days before it reached you

Those were quality cuttings and some were huge. They mostly all looked good except for the poor waymanaie. Great seller overall 👌

I enjoyed the video :) Could you leave the hoya info on screen longer, though? I actually read it, but it vanishes too quickly and it's a bit frustrating to have to pause the video every other minute. Would be appreciated :)
@FancyPlants2 жыл бұрын
I can absolutely do that in future videos. But blame KZbin because that’s one of the strategies they suggest :-) For a creator’s content to get more “engagement” they actually want the viewer to have to rewind, pause and play. I’m just playing their game with a few videos to see if it works but I agree with you it can be frustrating! I want to say thank you for watching the video and I’ll do a mix of everything in the future! 😃
