I cancelled my preorder after reading about white zinc splitter issues and easy to scratch off color. Shame. It would be perfect, but what good is a 100 dollar zinc case if the color instantly gets ruined by breathing on it. Once they fix that i might get one.

Are you guys doing anything about the visible scratches/markings that have been reported by many KZbinrs. I ordered this exact keyboard and am now debating on cancelling it because of my $300 keyboard getting scratched by just about anything

the scratches are not a thing to worry about imo cuz its not a scratch on a keyboard, but the paint of the object that scratched it. Idk how to explain it but the keyboard itself is not scratched , and the marking is easily removed with some scrubbing materials. Any improvements to the case wont be added before 3rd batch which comes in like december/january.

Most of the marks on the white case are caused by the metal rubbing against it. The metal can leave particles behind, and with enough force, it might create deeper scratches. To avoid this, it's best to keep metal objects away from the case. It all remains paint, and a lot of other white cases around have similar issues. That said, we are still looking into this issue and exploring ways to improve the durability of the coating on the white zinc alloy case. If we find a better method to enhance the coating, we'll share the update on our social media channels. If you experience any issues upon arrival of the keyboard we will cover this under our warranty.

its kinda worrying reading about the white version getting scuffed so easily if you decide to swap keycaps or something. you should offer everyone that ordered the white to select raw or black case. If i dont get such offer from you guys im canceling it.

To avoid this, it's best to keep metal objects away from the case. In our Discord community, several members have tested this by scratching the case with metal objects. They found that they could remove the particles left behind. You can check out their findings in the #wooting80he channel at the pinned messages. Overall, the white zinc case should hold up well. That said, we are still looking into this issue and exploring ways to improve the durability of the coating on the white zinc alloy case. If we find a better method to enhance the coating, we'll share the update on our social media channels. If you experience any issues upon arrival of the keyboard we will cover this under our warranty.

Not just him. Another reviewer had it shipped with a part of the color chipped off. I cancelled my pre order due to that. I want a 100 dollar case to be impeccable and perfect, else no deal.
