@@elejzen3295 yeah its not but I'm not buying it because it has to be the best of the best keyboard. If I cared about the case i would've just gone for the 60he and bought a redux case. Plus I'm not modding it until I want to. The features you get are basically refined in the software, hardware, compatibility than other companies.

Watching this ahead of time while I wait for customer service reply to change my zinc raw case to the white Zinc v2 case. Hopefully you guys respond! Ordered the 80HE module, zinc (white v2, hopefully) + double shot backlit keycaps. And Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro's (separately). This will be my first custom keyboard where I assemble. Coming from a ducky 2 for almost 10 years. This is super EXCITING!!!

3:08 Can you still install the switches south facing for non-rgb cherry profile keycaps? I'm assuming it's just not default like you guys say, but should work fine?

Cherry keycaps like GMK does not hit the switch housing even in north facing position, no need to turn them around. I have a GMK set with no issues on the old 60HE, no reason the new switches would be any different.

The JST connector on my module is so loose that the cable keeps coming off so easily :( I had to skip the routing the cable step because of it or I will have to do trial and error for an hour.

Why is it necessary to install the switches facing north? Due to the symmetrical structure, a south-facing installation shouldn't be a problem, right? I don't want to use the RGB LEDs because my GMK keycaps are not translucent.

Yes it is totally fine to use them south-facing if you don't care about RGB. It is just for new people to not make mistakes installing it, and potentially having to redo it.

@Bobbyuk It's great. I haven't swapped out the switches and keycaps, though. I'd like to get the Magnetic Jade switches like on my 60HE plus get some custom keycaps, and then it'll be complete. Beautiful keyboard as is, though!

You mentioned how the switches need to be placed to match the LED on the north side but what if you are using a Cherry Profile set of keycaps (for example a set of GMK Keycaps)? I assume you would still want to place the switch so that it faces south.

The switches have changed housing so even with GMK cherry style keycaps etc there is no problem with north facing. Afaik you can run them south facing but there is no reason to and it also blocks the RGB.

I have a question: Are you planning to make 8k true polling rate 60HE as well? I want wooting for many years using and there are plenty 60% options by competitors with 8k true polling rate. For me 80% a bit too big for my hand movement freedom

The newest Lekker switches don't change that much in sound if you manually lube them, as they are already pretty well lubed. Feel wise, it'll be similar if not same. ^Sander

The way its shown to open the case it cant be done if the pcb is in place, how will you push from inside out when there is a pcb in place?!?!?! Omg who designed this and who gave it a go ahead for production 😂.
