Was waiting when you were going to watch this film.Extra reason of you being an artist. Human Condition is so complex and fascinating. Not the bad stuff, but sadly they are part of humanity, until proper education is conveyed in educational insititutions. A corrupt system produces bad apples, intentionally. For many reasons. Crimes, hate crimes, ecomonic crimes; all in the pursuit of the "Happiness" while injustice and evil thrive. Good people are left to stay afraid, silent and unorganized , more so than evil men. Trust your viewers in their suggestions. Everyone but even more those who seek cultivation of the mind, soul and spirit.

What an amazing movie, I love it so much, although I always feel so so bad for Elijah's mama. She was a very good mother, she was always supported her son, encouraged him to test his boundaries... and at the end she lost him anyway, it breaks my heart.

There were moments I thought you were going to figure out the ending! Talking about the use of purple--Elijah always wore black and purple, and the styling of his hair gives him the "disproportionate, distorted head shape" typical of comic book villains. Ugh. Writing this, I'm realizing that that might not go down so well these days, with more awareness of the Western bias against natural Afro hair styles. But it works so well for his character. It sounds like you'll probably finish the trilogy--Split is great, Glass is...controversial. But you've watched the golden trilogy of Shyamalan's best films, from '99 to '02. I do hope at some point you'll check out The Village, which is what he made right after Unbreakable and Signs. It was pretty divisive, but if you go in without expectations, I think you might really appreciate the humanity of the story!

I think my sympathy for Elijah's character maybe prohibited me from even thinking of him as the villain. I look forward to watching both movies that come next and he has the village is on my list. I've always lived every M Night Shyamalan movie amazed. I'm surely going to continue

Unbreakable is M Night's masterpiece to me. The 'no shooting friends' scene is amazing perfomances from everyone and Sam Jackson really makes you feel for him, up to (and maybe after😅) the twist. On its own it's a powerful film, but in the context of the trilogy is even better.

Exactly. I think the way I felt bad for Elijah is one of the reasons, I did not think of him as the final villain. That twist was just so good. I like that. I'll watch both movies

One thing that you might appreciate as an artist, and one of my favorite aspects of this movie is that every one of the criminals or bad people that David encounters throughout the film are all dressed in bright or vivid colors. All the regular, law abiding citizens depicted are all clad in drab, dark, and muted colors - including David. I also like that M. Night used a lot of shots in scenes that used reflective surfaces, rather than just pointing the camera at the actors themselves. Definitely his best film imo.

At the time this movie came out , all the superhero movies we know today were not yet made... because of this movie doing well... It was an indicator that comic book / superhero movies were on a comeback... This movie helped usher in all we know today with all the modern superhero films... Thank You Mr. M. Knight... 😎

This is just an amazing series of films, especially for comic book nerds. It's such a fresh twist on what has been seen many times before in print or on film, but flips it on its head because no one is in a colorful set of tights.

remember him speaking about waking up every morning to an unknown sadness. I believe the sadness came from not being what he was born to be and not knowing it ie a superhero of sorts and that sadness put a wedge between him and his family.

I think its ambiguous for a reason, not knowing if he was the kid at the bottom of the pool. I think he is supposed to be the kid, but its vague on purpose so you never really know. That's why I love M Night for his earlier movies.

I feel you. even when he confirmed it during the scene when his son was pointing a gun at him, he could have been lying to persuade his son to drop the gun.

It's not vague at all. David's water phobia is mentioned as soon as the train scene. The teacher begins the talk with 'sending you to the hospital'. The measures around the pool were 'because of you'. She then switches into a third person when talking about David's tale circulating between the kids. There are quotation marks in the subtitles during this segment. Then again, she asks him in second person. 'You still phobic of water?' David even explains the story to Elijah, that he was the one who nearly drowned. It's literally what makes David doubt the theory in the first place. Elijah then calls David with the epiphany about his relationship with water. It's David's kryptonite. David then nearly drowns again at the end of the movie. It's consistently the only thing capable of harming him.

Now I know you must have and I find them quite well done.❤ I like the one that you had up during your reaction to Dune. It shows a face in a hand mirror frame, with a uniform background. It's intriguing to me. Like maybe we're inside looking out of the mirror. The images in the mirror are the only things we can see and everything else is uniform. I appreciate your comment on people buying art. Maybe the piece is a moving portrayal of something significant, and someone is buying it because it's colors go well with my couch. Another great reaction Frank. Ya know, The Sixth Sense was good, but it's actually one of my least favorite M. Knight films. Personally I prefer Unbreakable, Split, Signs, Lady in the Water, Devil, and The Village over it, though I'm probably in the minority that way. Unbreakable IS a super hero movie, just the one that's probably most grounded in reality, which is what makes it so great!!!

Such a great film, an amazing exploration of ones identity and destiny. A really unique take on superhero's. Both did such a great job. Your paintings are so amazing, I don't paint canvas but I do paint dolls, realistic baby dolls, and I get it too, I sold one to a woman, then found out it was for her 4 year old, and I seen pics of the doll months later and it looked horrible, these dolls are not meant to be played with, it art, and it does feel awful when you see it not being appreciated 😢

For another non-superhero superhero movie, I recommend Alita: Battle Angel (2019) developed and written by James Cameron. His friend, director, Robert Rodriguez officially directed, only because James Cameron was so tied up with the Avatar movies, but Alita was James Cameron's other big franchise which he was only away from by chance because of the success of Avatar and he really wanted to bring Alita to the screen. So Robert Rodriguez said he directed as much in the style of a James Cameron film as he could, and it's a great movie. The best big screen manga/anime live action adaptation made and arguably the only good one so far.

I might be way of here, but if you're a fan of football you might like the movie Any Given Sunday (1999). It's a stacked cast, but to name just a few it stars Al Pacino as the aging coach of a struggling NFL team, and Jamie Foxx plays the team's up and coming quarterback.

This is a fantastic film. But PLEASE PLEASE do it justice by following SOON with the other two films in the trilogy. So many reactors will use a first of two or three and never follow through. It's a three part story!!! While I'm at it...lol...You seemed to enjoy "Silence of the Lambs". There are two additional films there too - "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal". Both of which h I feel are considerably better than Silence of the Lambs. Keep doin you!! ✌️

Some of them will be plain angry and hurt because it doesn't seem fair that their loved ones are gone regardless of who or what Bruce's character is, but in his case it must be worse because yeah he doesn't even have a scratch on him which, from skeptical and suspicious points of view makes him look somehow culpable. And, of course, there's the tension of an M. Night thriller because hardly anything just happens by accident.

I live this movie and part 2 split is just as good but in m.night fashion every few movies he has some stinkers. He had a great opportunity to have an awesome trilogy but he really messed up glass.....sucked! But he came back nice with the visit. Watch that
