I respect Giannis for doing that. No matter what you think about Thanasis, he was the man who inspired Giannis to play basketball, even shared his shoes with Giannis when they were younger so that he could get a chance to play too. The definition of not leaving the ones who rooted for you behind. He is one of the few people in the world that would stick by him with or without this.

I’m almost sure getting thanasis into the deal actually takes away money overall because Giannis can make more money by himself but he’s forcing companies to add his brother to the deal so companies probably give much lesser deals to account for the fact thanasis won’t sell well. Shout out to Giannis because it was him thinking of his family as to why they were even able to come to the states. Dude could have played and continued to send money home. Instead, he told the team his heart wasn’t in it unless he had his family near. Made a call to Herb Kohl, WI senator and Bucks owner at the time and got his family brought over.

Nobody is saying (or should be saying) that Giannis shouldn’t take care of Thanasis. Giannis is taking care of Thanasis in many ways: keeping him on a roster where he’s still getting paid millions to average .9 points and .4 rebounds, getting him in movies, having their story be produced and make a profit. People are wondering why this man is getting a signature shoe when no one will buy it and Giannis can get a bigger deal for them both and still give his brother more bread lol. It’s the false virtue signaling that’s sending people over lol 😂.
