Herbert has 3 seasons of 4,000 yards and 1 season of 5,000 yards. Tua has 1 season of 4,000 yards. Herbert has 2 seasons with 30 TDs, Tua has 0. Over their careers Herbert has about 4,500 more passing yards and 33 more TDs and that’s with only playing 9 more games. So Herbert has been much more productive in his career than Tua has.

The only thing here that matters is the part about Herbert being healthier but when the chips were all the same Tua outperformed Herbert as well as won games. He throws the ball far less than him too but is far more efficient. It's almost like he's really only finished his second year. The first 2 years were with a coach that did not want him, actively worked against him and did nothing to work with your rookie qb to make him good. The third year, new coach, and his improvement was visible but he gets injured. Finally this past year he improves again, stays healthy and then the team collapses due to losing multiple star players on both sides. If I'm him, I'm saying sure I can always improve but I'm getting paid based on the history here because I don't trust the team to do the right things.

Those superbowls helped sell his TB12 and garner that huge broadcast contract. Without the discounts, does he win as many superbowls and off-field success. Tua is not the answer in Miami, Dak has a stronger arm that can get ball downfield to receivers. Trade Kirk to Dallas, cheaper than paying Dak and gives Cowboys a couple years to find a QB…Atlanta can move on with Penix. The Raiders wanted Penix in the draft, but Tua will do the job for a few years until they pay him or replace him. This gives everybody what they really want….

Burrow has 5 playoff wins, not a few. Burrow has played 1 less game than Tua, but has 20 more Tds and 1,800 more yards. Same number of ints, but Burrow has the better completion percentage. All while Burrow been sacked 50 more times than Tua. I think Miami should pay Tua $56m per year, but im a bengals fan and want it to be easier for the bengals to win the afc.
