The part from when Nate sees that Roman and Navarro have taken Elena hostage to when Nate rejoins Sully is my favourite part because it’s a three way battle with Nate, Navarro’s men and the creatures all trying to kill each other. My method was to hide and let the mercenaries and monsters kill each other and then I’d jump out and shoot whoever was left.

You know that part where elena lost her camera? that giant fissure was caused by drake and his men blowing the city to high hell Also For those wondering who was inside the coffin El Dorado was the term used by the Spanish Empire to describe a *mythical tribal chief* from Colombia, who covered himself with gold dust. Originally the term was El Hombre Dorado ("the golden man"), but changed overtime. The legends surrounding El Dorado did as well, changing from a man to a city, growing over time.

By the time the zombies arrived on my first playthrough I was kind of expecting them - the weird footprint earlier had hinted at something inhuman, plus when going through the labyrinth I happened to be looking the right way to briefly see one climbing the walls. Their speed definitely caught me off-guard though. Really changed the gameplay from a mainly cover-based shooter to full on run and gun.

@@de__2049 I know, I’ve played the game multiple times. But “Descendants” as a proper noun doesn’t see a huge amount of use in-game whereas everyone understands what is being referred to if we use the term zombies as a shorthand. Uncharted 2 does the same - there is a line where Drake makes a callback to the first game, likening his current situation to a previous one and speculating on whether he’s about to run into a zombie.

Uncharted 2 is my favorite in the series and in my Top 10 favorite games. That said, the other games are excellent as well, and the end of Nate's story is extremely satisfying.

Having played this game, the segments with the mutated Spaniards are incredibly frustrating at time, but the finale is sensational to experience. Also, big ups to Robin Atkin Downes, the VA and mocap actor for Navarro. Talented guy who you'll be hearing a lot more from as you go through the games.

When I played the game for the first time I did not expect the sudden change into a horror-ish game, freaked me out. It took me weeks to continue, 'cause I'm really not into horror but I really wanted to finish the game, so I could move on to the next.

You should watch Uncharted: Eye of Indra next; it's a motion comic that's set before this one that shows why Eddy dislikes Nate so much. There's also Golden Abyss on the Vita that's set before all the numbered games.

I agree with everything Bethany said about Gabriel Roman being the terrible boss and him not knowing or sensing what his right hand man, Navarro was up to and not to mention telling him to open something up when he knew something was inside it the whole time. That part always bothered me for some reason. Anyway looking forward to y’all’s next Uncharted journey which is the second one. Cause you two have a long way to go with the Uncharted series.

Yeah, Uncharted is modern Indiana Jones, including the one random supernatural thing at the end of each story that is never mentioned again. And the "curse" was fungal spores. Naughty Dog's other game series, The Last of Us, is about fungal spore zombies. Meaning The Last of Us is the Uncharted world where Nathan failed in game 1.

Actually the Spaniards are referenced in Uncharted 2 during the power outage/elevator. Plus all the references to previous games in Uncharted 4.

Well, the devs said that this wasn’t supernatural, it was a virus. Also, “never mentioned again”? Have you read Nate’s journal in Among Thieves? The “SCARE-O-METER” mentions the Descendants from this game. Nate also refers to them (subtly) in the last scene of A Thief’s End.

Same way the Ark of the Covenant melting people's faces off, or Kali being real and answering prayers, or Jesus being confirmed as the son of God in Indiana Jones, isn't mentioned again either.

A classic action story put into a video game. Uncharted and Tomb Raider are always fun to watch and play. Excited to see the Uncharted 2, since that's the only one I was able to play myself. I will say tho I'm never a fan of using explosive weapons in enclosed spaces like ancient rotting ruins miles underground..
