Unchartered Territory: NASCAR Rejected by 23XI Racing

Denny Hamlin met with members of the NASCAR media at Atlanta Motor Speedway to discuss his playoff chances and car issues but fielded more questions about 23XI Racing refusing to sign NASCAR's charter agreement. A statement from the team Hamlin owns explained that NASCAR really didn't offer to negotiate but rather put forth a deadline mandate that 23XO refused to comply with.

It's hard to believe that other big team's would have worked with 23XI team. If you are not making money and are losing money, you can't keep going. There's a point where you just say enough is enough and walk away from Nascar of you if you have to. Nascar will want to survive or die is up to France family. The stock car racing I love died a while back.

I DO NOT understand the other teams. Especially Hendrick, Penske and Gibbs. What the hell is NASCAR going to do? Take away the 3 most profitable teams in the sport charter's? Who are they going to bring in? The Cars Tour? ARCA? Maybe they'll bring down the Pinty Series? Surely Roger, Rick and Joe have to know that NASCAR can't make it without them. NASCAR has to know they are nothing without the fans and the fans ain't showing up if their driver is not there. The only thing I can figure is is because Roger, Rick and Joe have been around since the Bill Jr days and they still have that France fear that was implanted in them so many years ago. It really makes me angry that NASCAR still uses that strong arm tactic. I quoted tweeted 23XI's statement calling out all the teams that caved. Proud of Front Row and 23XI.

Thats where your wrong. Theres probably half a dozen or more Teams out there that would love to get there hands on a charter. Thats why they are selling for so much. Drivers have tried this before but the france family holds the cards. they own the TV rights, they own the series and own all the trademarks for Nascar. You basicly dont have a arena to play in if you not on bored. Hendrick and the likes you spoke of to run there teams to make money, They have actual real companies that pay for it. Denny doesnt have a pot to piss in because compared to those guys hes a broke boi playing in a mans world. Racecar teams are not run to make money despite dumbbell Dennys Idea that hes somehow different. Hes a Driver trying to act like a business man but has no business experience.

It’s simple jordans name and brand is bigger than nascar and they want concessions on the future cause when they start dominating the sport it’s gonna add 20% more coverage globally. How do you figure that dumbass big mouth Hamlin is so smart. When you have guys such as Rick Hendrick and Jack Roush and Roger Penske ,who all sign BILLION dollar contracts all the time sign the deal with NASCAR. Are you saying Hamlin knows more than those guys? Really. NASCAR owns the race series. If you want to race in it,it is their rules. Do you think the Atlanta Braves tells MLB what to do or the Charlotte Hornets tells the NBA what to do. Not likely.

They're actually trying to make changes for the better of the sport. I don't see that as being cry babies. Plus he's said, in other interviews, that other teams feel the same as 23XI, but they're not coming out or standing up. I hope it works for them. The sport seems to be declining in popularity due to recent changes to the points system and stages so something needs to be done. Like him or not, Hamlin has been in this sport a long time and aside from financially investing, seems to be genuinely concerned about the sport's future. Just my thoughts. I could be wrong. lol
