You must be young or young-ish. It shouldn't even enter your mind that this is "racist", but I'm not surprised that it did. A racist is someone who thinks one race is inherently superior to another or who hates someone just because of their race. That's it. "Racism" is nothing else besides that. If you don't think one race is inherently superior to another or hate anyone just because of their race (and always act according to these, naturally), you are not a racist and there is nothing you can do or say that is racist. If you say a word from another language, do you believe your race is inherently superior to another? Of course not - that's ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense. If you say a word from another language does that mean you hate someone because of their race. Just as ridiculous. Therefore, it's not racist. Also, facts are never racist. How could it possibly be racist just to say a word from another language? You are free to say any word from any language on earth (with the exception of slurs, cursing, etc. when you are around certain people of course). I hope other people read this and I can undo, if only a little bit, the lies and nonsense that has been taught in public schools and in universities for some time now to impressionable minds. "Cultural appropriation" is a made-up concept that came from worse-than-useless people in certain departments in universities. Another thing: don't believe everything people tell you or that you see on tv, social media, etc. If anything, being interested in other cultures, using words from other languages or learning other languages, having/displaying items from other countries, and so on is a sign that you have RESPECT FOR and HONOR other cultures. Don't you see that? Think about it.

@@alder128 I'm a 41 year old white American female. Does that make me young or young-ish? Maybe, but I am definitely not naive. Sadly, I come from a place where race is always in the minds of everyone all the time because it matters in daily life, particularly regarding other people's immediate perception of you as a person, regardless of if its accurate or not. I wish it wasn't so, but that's just my reality. Unfortunately, not everyone is as enlightened as yourself. I try not to offend anyone if I can avoid it.
