I keep seeing a lot of confusion on the term 'grooming', so I feel like it's important to remember that it doesn't just mean an adult and minor and it isn't exclusively for sexual reasons. It's someone in a position of power over another person, which is often an adult and a minor but could be a boss and an employee, a professor and an adult student, a parent and a child, and so on. By grooming this person they have power (or a perceived authority) they're training someone to act in specific ways the groomer is aiming for. While this is often sexual, it isn't exclusively for sexual reasons and I think that's where people get confused on the term 'grooming'. For example; a cult leader grooms their followers into following their radicalized doctrines.

I'm skeptical of Trish's "redemption arc", even if she didn't deserve what happened to her. Trisha herself is an ADMITTED perpetrator of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and a holocaust denier.
