I would recommend wearing rubber gloves before handling the auger. People who work with sewerage get a set of vaccinations to protect them from hepatitis before they can work in sewerage departments. I would recommend that if you are working as a plumber or unclogging a toilet in a rental unit. I also keep a 5 gallon bucket handy to put the wet toilet tools in after using them.

Hi I bought an auger because my toilet started draining very slowly after flushing one morning totally out of the blue. I did find a small amount excrement and removed it but it doesn’t seem to have had any effect, it’s still draining slowly and I can’t feel any apparent blockages. When I flush I sometimes hear a sound I can only describe as a “deep down air bubble coming to a waters surface” if that makes sense. Does anyone have any ideas about the problem?

I've been using snakes many years I've cleared stubborn clogs however I was super clogged now I got a slow flush that wo t quit even with the snake IT all began with changing toilet paper types thick to thin thin to thick I've done this I'm sure it's toilet paper and coacoa pebbles. What else can I do it seems like a deep cloga slow draining flush

You should have a plastic trash bag so when you pull that nasty thing out of shit hole it's not dripping all over ! USE RUBBER GLOVES Doctors you don't want that getting on your paws I suggest you double or triple up !!!
