Thank you! I was trying to clean the nozzle on my torch, and when the discs dropped into my hand the landed in an unruly heap--I lost track of their order. I was facing a trial and error struggle before I found your video.

Damn, was hoping this was if the regulator wouldn't turn on my gt8000... i can't figure it out. It just doesn't want to turn "open" at all, feels stuck. It can wiggle though.

what to do if the tank valve doen't release gas when pressed?

Rebuild the butane release valve. Not the burner system.

With what tool can I unscrew the nozzle from the windshield? I have trouble finding a proper tool for the job
@cantucomputing86965 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about a blazer torch that you can buy at a convenience store, etc., the entire assembly can be unscrewed from the bottom of the assembly, where the fuel hose connects. And when you unscrew it from the bottom, it comes out from the top of your lighter. The ceramic cup is being held in place by the assembly when it is screwed in. You'll see. I have no idea how to search for a proper tool you are also looking for, since I do not know what it is called. It is some type of forked removal tool. If you have not taken your torch apart, you should. Because that is the only way I have been able to unscrew the nozzle assembly.

If you remove the head and look at it from the bottom you can see the air intake holes. I use a steel dental pick by inserting it all the way through the holes. Turn it to the right to unscrew it.

I used small twisters and unscrewed from the top if not flat head screw driver from the bottom after taking torch apart
@ARCSTREAMS Жыл бұрын
try using a sharp tipped tweezer, my nozzle felt loose so i was able to tighten it like that from the top where you see part of the brass nozzle where what looks like a flat head screwdriver would go only the nozzle is on top so you need something like a very fine forked tool to fit those slots on both sides of the flame nozzle or like i said with tweezers
@ARCSTREAMS Жыл бұрын
@@southbound69421 yes but sometimes the housing the nozzle sits in will not allow room to insert a tool or rod in that hole so you may be forced to unscrew it from the top where the flame shoots out using a sharp tipped tweezer

Will this work with other torches that don’t dispense butane
@southbound694214 жыл бұрын
I am unsure about that. I've only ever worked on Blazer brand torches. Sorry.

Tone is subjective. What you're hearing is pure "hard rock". Actually i toned it down for the video.

No don’t do this. After many years of heavy blazer pb207 use I can say the best way to unclog is, take another torch while locking the first 1 to on. Put the fire directly to the brass nozzle It will spit and sputter but it WILL burn the clog out. Maybe 15 seconds. Also NEVER ever use alcohol to clean anywhere near the tank. They are made of a resin that will die fast if you get alcohol on it. I have a grave yard of blazers because I thought alcohol was safe to clean with. Now you know
@southbound694213 жыл бұрын
I never said anything about using alcohol on the tank. And pointing fire directly at another torch sounds a bit dangerous but I'm not saying it wouldn't work. I'm sure others have figured out ways to clean a torch head. Bottom line is my method works for me and I thought I'd share it in the hope it might help others.

@@southbound69421 I’ll stick to taking it apart like in video I had already done that but was unsure about the way things went back together. One question I had another paper like filter in mine along with the other 4. Ever seen this before
@southbound694212 жыл бұрын
@@caseG80 I've never seen a paper type filter as you described. My video was made 5 yrs ago and there's no doubt they continually improve the design. So it's no surprise to find some changes.

I found a torch and it would only fire if I used a torch pointed directly at the others nozzle. That explains why. Lol

I appreciate you trying to help all of us with faulty torch lighters, but your instructions are terrible. How do you get the filters out? You are showing the entire brass assembly but you don't say how to get it out. Do you need to take the entire nozzle assembly out?
@southbound694213 жыл бұрын
yes remove the assembly, remove the nipple, then use a piece of stiff wire and run it through from the top. I use a piece of an old guitar string.
