As a plumber, i would use my general super vee with 1/4 in cable. Using a toilet auger u might break the trap

I would like to suggest that you add more tags for your videos. I think it is awesome that you are willing to share your knowledge and such with everyone on youtube, and more tags will let more people find your videos. Basicly, add way more tags then you think you need, build up a large list of them, and copy and paste to your other videos. @anchortrap Problem with using the Sulfuric acid is that it can damage the pipes. and then your looking at a huge plumbing problem along with water damage.

i DON'T USE PLIERS i JUST STICK MY FINGERS IN THERE AND PULL IT OUT! Yes, I'm that macho haaaaa... I also use a 3 ft long electricians ZIP TIE (* modified) to clear the drain * Modification: Cut the sides on 12 inches of the point into little barbs and it will pull out anything in the drain (Been doing this for over 20 years) now theres a short one at HD called a ZipIt but for me it's too short!

+Chris F Everyone else? The cable n a closet auger is much stiffer then most hand held drum augers so, as long the clog is in the trap, it might just be a better choice.

Hes using a toilet augure to clear a shower drain smh..people use a cone gun which holds about 25 to 36 feet Of snake, to clear the shower not a 4 foot augure if that it might even be 3ft.

It is 5’ and it will clear the trap, which is where most of the clogs are. If it works it works.
