I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

I have a culvert running across my road. It's not clogged but the road stays wet for a day or two after the rains. They ran that one thru my side yard and across the back yard. Natural drain washing yard away. Now one drain has missing dirt from one side of cement fixture and rain in the back gors around head wall now. Ugh. If only people could do as good a job as @post 10 life would be PERFECT

@post.10

There are certainly less of them, every summer is getting warmer which they can't handle that is driving them North, they are losing habitat, dying from disease and ticks and being over-hunted

Q: Are you alone on your adventures? If so, are you sharing your location with a loved one or colleague? It seems you go to some pretty remote locations, and you do stuff like crawl into culverts and drag brush towards yourself. What would happen if something untoward happened to you in such locations? How long would it take to get help?

Most are still Hunted even though their population is declining rapidly because unfortunately the National Forest Service says hunting them helps them because less of them means less ticks which are also killing them but that doesn't make any sense since other countries like Canada will do overhead air drops of flea tick medication tablets that the animals will eat the same thing that United States does with rabies
