Great pointers, thanks. If I had to single out what is awakening in my experience, the answer would be learning not to resist whatever happens in the momentary experience. Especially after the first shift, this was a key technique. It can be a thought, unpleasant emotions, restlessness, resistance etc. At some point, you feel intuitive that the avoidance of it leads to suffering and pain. You see it directly. This is how the non-duality spectrum opened up for me. It took some practice and willingness to be authentic to yourself, but is a major thing. We reach a point during the process where we have complete trust in our intuition, even if it tells us to feel uncomfortable.

“Can I notice without trying to fix?” It’s challenging, because the noticing kind of brings an automatic “fixing” by deepening the breath, moving the body if it feels like that’s what it desires… and then it’s more of a blend of discomfort and relief. It would feel forced to really stay with the discomfort, as it’s not a static energy (thank goodness 😅).

Hi, Angelo, You asked for reports, so, 4 months after your post, here’s mine: Since the interview a week ago, I’ve been feeling an underlying uneasiness nagging at me. So, when this video showed up in my feed (again!), I took the hint. The thought that presented was, “I can’t let go.” So, I followed your prompt and “moved closer,” back and forth from the thought to the feeling/sensations in the body. I was in bed, and somewhere in the middle of this process, I fell asleep. Near morning, I had a vivid, intense dream. A death by heart attack of a kind of archetypal masculine figure in my life, then an unexpected reawakening quite a long time later. He came back to life much softer and more open, tearfully expressing his long-repressed love for an equally archetypal feminine figure in his life. Even in the dream, I could feel the huge energy this released. When I woke up, I could still feel the energy and freedom in my body. Also a thought/realization just kind of floated up: “It’s not about letting go; it’s about letting be…” I forget, have I thanked you lately? 😎🙏💜🦋

Lately, I have been trying to do this several times. One time, I really touched that hidden thought and felt the charge associated to it. The weight then just was like lifted. And it felt very peaceful and relieving to directly feel what was hidden. Simple and honnest. But after that, I had other opportunities to try it again, and it went different. It seems I have an intuition about the hidden thought. I can have a glimpse or a vague feeling of it but it's like when I'm formulating it, it is somehow counterfeit. It feels like a pale copy of what is hidden. I don't have this taste of being in direct presence of it. This is a place I often end up to. With that feeling that I'm not in touch with "the real thing" but with a mock.

My problem is and always has been that I can't feel everything, you, these nice people, the mouse in the forest. It feels like I should be able, like I'm supposed to be able but am cut completely cut off somehow and left with a sense of something I never possessed. A ghost limb I never grew. You’re intuition is good, you are in direct contact with the truth of non-separation and you (rightly) perceive that the overlying dualistic experience is flawed. The only thing I will add is that this often feels very personal because of the resulting sense of isolation, but in fact it is quite impersonal, this shared delusion of separation. The good news is you have all the tools to right the ship so to speak.

Your not alone here. And I don't think your crazy. I always knew humans were all the same / part of the same stuff. I did not see that as connected, when I was a child because I could feel them! And that could be overwhelming. I have learned to trust my intuition. I no longer jump to help everyone in pain. When helping happens now it's mostly cos life takes over. I get the super power thing. I had lots of that at school. Silly me didn't understand that the teacher wouldn't appreciate me pointing out he got something wrong. I naively thought he might like to know. I never thought I was special. But I picked up a belief that I was worthless. Done lots of work on that one. Now everyone is special, no exclutions. The thought I'm avoiding is really vague and the physical uncomfortable feeling becomes very prominent immediately without really "knowing" the thought as clearly. @SimplyAlwaysAwake2 жыл бұрын
That is ok to do yes, however at some point to get to the really sticky (unconscious) vasanas we often have to do sone detective work and really track down the underlying belief. The reason is that in direct experience there really is no polarity and so we aren’t necessarily addressing what it is that causes us to contract habitually. Often simple observations of life situations shows us what the contraction is about
@C43Z2 жыл бұрын
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Thanks for the reply! What do you mean with the sentence: "The reason is that in direct experience there really is no polarity and so we aren’t necessarily addressing what it is that causes us to contract habitually"? Also, If I look at my direct experience I can observe the uncomfortable sensation/contraction and then when I look for a thought it seems that it isn't something I can really put into words. It feels really intertwined with the sensation, but it feels like a doubting thought. And when looking for a thought, is it correct to say that it should be a simple kind of looking? With this whole process you really start to question what thoughts really actually are.

Or The organism is alive and self aware. It cannot perceive reality as it is. It takes info through 5 senses processes and creates model of life , profile of itself and other organisms. The model is used as a map, user interface and to run simulations. The organism through conditioning takes the profile to be its identity (character)and the model to be reality. Waking up, would be the organism recognizing through inquiry that the model is not reality and the profile(character) is not its identity. The problem is the organism will create a new model and profile (I am enlightend) and repeat the disidentfiying cycle , which is equivalent to reincarnation ( thousand little deaths) When I'm watching e.g a "non dual video", I'm basically seeing an organism sharing its model of reality and I'm trying to ascertain the degree to which the organism has identified with its profile. In the biblical story of Adam & Eve, when God is inquiring about the nudity and forbidden fruit, what's interesting is not Adam's reply but the fact that he replied at all, in order for that conversation to take place , there has to be a artificial partion( separation) otherwise God is having a conversation with himself.

Love your videos. Quick question - if you keep instructing us where to move our attention ie on thoughts, into the body etc MUST mean it is the real ‘I’ that has the ability to move this attention otherwise these instructions wouldn’t be followable OR could it be the ego mind the ‘spiritual seeker’ that is moving the attention and are we just the consciousness observing all this?

@@dalegriffiths3628 first of all your name is awesome. Also why does it feel different... I suggest (truly as a practice) look into what moves attention.
