How many of us will be alive at 90 years old? He is living a fortunate blessed life. Still married to 2nd wife In which they are exposed to living a Mega Hollywood Life is a blessing. Utah is their refuge. They have surrounded themselves with some or if not the most beautiful land of this country. No press or Fan followers to which travel is hard at best. For someone as handsome as he was in his prime, you’re going to notice it more. I mean no disrespect to Mr Newman, he was\is an excellent actor. But why do have try to sensationalize things? Robert Redford has a beautiful soul and no one nor any amount of time can take that away or tarnish that. He IS a beautiful man and I have admired him for many decades. I, too, had polio. Back in the early 1950's. My case was fairly mild, leaving me with a scoliosis but my mom had it much worse. She spent nearly a year in an iron lung at County General Hospital in Los Angeles. I grew up in Van Nuys - Sherman Oaks and graduated from Van Nuys High School in the Class of June, 1964. I had no idea Mr. Redford also went to my high school. I also had no idea of all the hardships Mr. Redford and his family endured over the years. It is so heartbreaking to learn of this. No one should have to go through even a fraction of what he and his beautiful family have. So very sad. I can only hope that the remainder of his life is turmoil and heartbreak free. So very glad I saw this video pop up in my suggestions here and watched it. 💙

When you are talking about Robert Redford's relationship with Natlie Wood, you mention that a young Natallie Wood starred in "The Miracle on 34th Street". You show a movie poster or art from the film, but it's the wrong film. The film that Natalie starred in was the 1947 version starring Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle and Natalie Wood as Susan Walker, but you display the movie poster from the 1994 version starring Richard Attenborough as Kris Kringle and a 7-year-old Mara Wilson as Susan Walker. Not being nitpicky, just correcting a minor error. Otherwise, this is a great video about Redford! Thanks for putting it together and uploading it to KZbin.

It's interesting, what one considers a "difficult life" while another who say otherwise. I'm 73 years old and I have had a life of good-fortune and relative ease despite being a terrible student in school and working at blue-collar jobs my whole life. I have had money problems but never to the point of hunger. And I have been healthy. Here's where my philosophy probably differs from that of Redford. I could have been born anywhere else, or at any other time in history and my life would have been a whole lot worse. I could have been born with a physical or cognitive disability, but I wasn't. I figure that when looking back at my life, I won the lottery. I'm luckier than 999 out of every 1000 people.

However, most of us have suffered through similar things, yet we are not famous and we have worked our butts off to be successful. And even our children who have seen much of what we went through don’t really appreciate what we have gone through. I am relatively successful but no one is going to do a video about me or the other hundreds of millions of people who were given nothing but overcame all adversity and now my grandchildren’s college is paid for out of love. We are silent heroes, twenty years after we are gone no one will remember us, and we will know we lifted life for those we love.

I read some of the comments first , it sounds like this video is just about how someone got old. Sadly we ALL do . All I have ever heard about him was he was a kind, generous , funny human and we dont have many of those . I'll just be happy he shared a little of it with us and move pn . Peace and Love Mr. Redford ❤

The pictures of him looking real old and wrinkly could be AI photos. My guess is that if he was getting that bad looking, with him still being actively in the Hollywood scene, people would have noticed. I remembered that my favorite Robert Redford movie was The Natural.

The Natural, The Way We Were w/Barbra Streisand, Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, This Property Condenmed w/Natalie Wood, and a movie w/Jane Fonda (can’t remember the name of movie) about a young couple that rented an apartment on very top floor of five story building with no elevator!, The Horse Whisperer (w/a pretty blonde gal when she was very young - can’t remember her name ) and he directed and narrated that great Brad Pitt movie A River Runs Through It are some of his movies I loved.

Robert Redford was not in the movie Miracle on 34th Street w/Natalie Wood as a 8 yr old child. Btw the gal in the Horse Whisperer was Scarlett Johansson. Also a little unimportant fact to me about Robert is when he was young and good looking, he had very bad skin. The movie producers were able to cover it up.

I always liked RR. He was always so good in so many films, and a Great Director. Loved these movies, "The Great Gatsby" The Sting" and "The Way We Were" "Up Close and Petsonal" and many others. He had a long and illustrious career. Never knew of all the hardships he went through, plus he was a rebel. He's ninety now, and still has the same hair style. Lol. Can't look like 40 at 90. God bless him with peace and comfort. 😔✝️🙏

Watch " A walk in the woods". I enjoyed his performance in there along with Nolte who looks even more f**cked up than RR

I hope for him such joy and surrounding love. He treated people kindly, and not as a famous movie star. I was in college when he talked about the environment. Blessings and love to you Robert and family! I am sorry about your losses you and family endured

Robert Redford is a great man and actor!!! And always will be!!! Despite all the ups and downs in his life, Robert Redford played and reincarnated himself in an incredible number of different roles, memorable forever. He is also the creator of Sundance, a festival of independent American cinema. The main thing is what spiritual legacy a person leaves behind, not what his personal life is. Redford is a man of exceptional class!!!

A lot of people survived polio. But to say his life was "hard" is ridiculous, a lot of people's lives are hard. My father died of kidney failure when I was six in 1974. Stuff happens. The guy is almost in his 90's and I'm sure there are a lot of people in this world that wouldn't have minded living his life. If he wrote a biography that said, "I had some hardships but I was rich" no one would have bought it.

That hair is unbeatable ever. He used to be so so handsome. And I like his relationships have been very stable in spite of being such a star.

Poor guy, lives on 6000 acre ranch with his wife. I feel really sorry for him. No one has a "perfect life". Actually, he has done so much charity work and done so much good during his life, that's what people should know and which you forgot to mention at all. A successful life is the best we can hope for and I think RR is accomplishing that...
