Those histamine foods give me migraine - I have been avoiding them for years. But didnt realise the link to IBS, which I also have. I also have mast cells in my bladder which causes Interstitial Cystitis symptoms so I have to be very careful with certain supplements, and drinks especially when Ascorbic Acid / vitamin C is present in the ingrredients . I find it difficult to take a supplement. It either gives me a migraine or upsets my stomach or bladder. I have found the low FODMAP way of eating very helpful. Thank you for explaining the link with histamine and IBS. I love your hypnotherapy videos.

I have been suffering from an itchy skin n urticaria these last two years n this vdo is most helpful. I have found hypnosis most useful to better manage my IBS. Suggest you introduce shorter hypnotherapy sessions in your podcasts

How would you help the gut lining, so it's not so sensitive and leaky? Could this be done with your gut sensitivity hypnosis?

Gut directed hypnotherapy works on the level of the nervous system (the gut-brain axis) - and with IBS addresses 1. the visceral hypersensitivity and 2. gut motility (the way the bowel contracts and moves food along). Leaky gut is more of a physical issue vs a functional issue, but hypnotherapy can help the sensitivity of the nerves. Stress can also play a role in leaky gut, so hypnosis can also help with decreasing stress and helping your body to better manage stress. I hope this helps!

I don’t think I have this, but I do feel better if I take an allergy medicine or use Pepcid on days that I feel like I have a tight throat . I don’t have any confirmed good allergies. My GI Dr gave me nortriptolyne for IBS-D. I haven’t taken it yet. Do you have an opinion on that medication?
