@@gokukakarot309 He is the most overrated boxer in the last 20 years. Bad fundamentals covered up by athleticism. 30lbs didn't force him to step with the wrong foot first. He did that his entire career. That's why he was fed hand picked fighters who moved in straight lines. He also didn't destroy all of them. He got dropped 3 times by a quasi retired Kelley and he looked like shit against Soto. After the Kelly fight it was obvious to anyone who wasn't a European nut hugger with an inferiority complex that he was yet another in a long line of European hype jobs.

@@gtaylor2455 ESPN ranked Hamed at number 22 on its list of the top 25 pound-for-pound fighters of the last 25 years. Ring also ranked Hamed the 46th greatest puncher of all-time Boxrec has him at 58th best pound for pound fighter of all time Inducted into boxing hall of fame in 2015 Defended the title for 6 years. with 15 title defenses. 13 by K0. 4 time world champion Remarkable record of 36 -1 with 31KOs and that's as a featherweight. Hamed was an inspiration for a number of future combat sport world champions from Britain and Ireland, including British boxers such as Amir Khan, Kell Brook, James DeGale, and Tyson Fury, as well as Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor. Hamed also inspired top-ranked fighters such as Irish boxer Michael Conlan, and British boxing trainers who have trained world champions, such as Javan Steward, who trained Fury, and Ben Davison, who trained Fury, Josh Taylor and Billy Joe Saunders. Yes he destroyed boxers and he was only knocked down once. The other two were a result of slips. The fact that you would even bring that up tells me you're a casual or just anti his heritage. His drive and talent wavered when he didn't fight as regularly as he should have done, when he was cutting corners on his training. His dislike of the long hard training camps and long periods away from his family hindered his progress. It just didn't work out for him from that point on. The surgery also took it's toll. 6 months off with over 30 pounds of weight gain. He took the fight with only 8 weeks warning. But hey lets ignore the facts, data, stats and the experts. We'll just take cues from you.

In a interview done a long time ago he made the statement that he’s able to slow things down at will. I’m sure that has something to do with his quicker than normal reaction time in the ring. We’ve all experienced time slowing at least once in our lifetimes, like when I dropped my iPhone down a flight of stairs lol. It played out in super slo mo as it fell like in a movie. I guess it’s possible since we all have experienced it that he was able somehow to recognize what triggered it or how exactly it was triggered in him allowing him to turn that on when the time called for it. Either way I think he was a great boxer/athlete and he knew how to entertain a crowd.

But only bitches make excuses, its the fight game, he should have just admitted he lost to the far better man. And tried to come back better, that's what real champions do. But Hamed never returned, mentally he was broken because he knew he could never compete with the best. Barrera even went up a weight class and whooped his ass. There's levels.

Hamed was a natural phenomenon. His agility, mobility, speed, power and confidence made him the perfect proponent of the unusual style taught by Brendan Ingle. Lesser fighters employing that style fell far short, though the better fighters, such as Herol Graham were able to make it to compete at the top. The flaw of the style is that it is entirely dependent on superior reflexes, which are the first thing a fighter loses. Hamed would always be at his peak in his early-mid 20s. It is also not conducive to moving through the weights.
