In November 1985, Israelis were launching regular RF-4 recon flights over Lebanon with the objective of monitoring the Syrians. Syrians on the other hand, were trying to intercept the Phantoms, mostly using their MiG-23s. But Phantoms were well escorted by F-16s and F-15. Usually, the fighters from two sides would briefly meet after which they would turn for home. Israel mostly avoided chasing the Syrian MiGs as they were returning to their airspace. On 19 November 1985, this would change and a pilot who was already an F-15 ace would get a chance to increase his score. Apart form that, the F-15D airframe famous for landing with one wing only participated in the fight.
DCS World Syria Map offers a great chance for historical reenactments that take place on their actual locations.

The best Israelian ace has 17 victories, principly on the mirage III during the six days war and the YUM KIPPOUR war in 1973 on the Nasher a derivative of the french mirage before the Kfir. I believe that one Israelian pilot had enregistred 8 kills in one day but i didn't remember when. We have to make an enquiry about this subject, I'm not certain. These pilots are the best of the world it's because they are always under a real pressure from their neighbours.

@@jeannezehner9450 Yep, I watched his episode last night. I love the F-16 but I have to agree with him. My elementary school classmates in the Republic of Singapore Air Force who had experienced the transition from the older A-4 Skyhawk or F-5s into the first F-16s delivered to them said the same thing. The jet flew wonderfully but it has no raw feeling. In fact, my classmate himself said that sometimes he wanted his jet to be unstable so that he could wrestle it just for the feel of a non-fly by wire aircraft.

Israelis are amazing in aerial combat. It would be a dream for Robin Olds to be flying with them. Highly aggressive and preferred gunkills, very different from the USAF. Their Phantoms took out a lot of MiG-21s, but then again it is said that the Vietnamese pilots were better than their Middle East counterparts.

They did fly their aircraft well and it seems that they were quite flexible in their approach, which must have helped. There are indications that Arab pilots weren't poorly trained but other factors decided.

Kind'a wish ED added the advanced/export F-16C version (externally looks like it has an extended bulge under the rudder/vertical stabilizer). Not so much for the avionics/flight model, just for the appearance so it would look more true to the real life F-16C export variant.

In fact, they could never talk to each other on the radio anymore, and they were not even in contact with the ground radar, and in the form off radar and silent radio communication without any radio communication, they continue to move at low altitudes. They were guided by the flight leader through an analog compass and a paper map, like the old captains of the sea. As they did fly a thousand kilometers, they bombed the targets and returned as they did, and refueled four times in the air at low altitude. they did talking to each other like mutes , They got close enough to each other and talk with gesture.
