Talking about the rankings then this college didn't get any rank in NIRF 2020. So it does not come under the top 250 engineering colleges by RANKINGS. But Ranking is something but not everything, so you can't compare colleges just based on Rankings :)

a student from iiit bbsr speaking, washing machine is not in everyfloor, but yes there is a laundry room which is absolutely free, also hostel library is not there. Campus chhota hai par is well maintained. it could have been even better but yk politics har jagah hai.

It's a subjective question because for me ETC is better since I like coding and all but what's good for you, you need to decide...this thing you must be knowing that in nit Rourkela, you will get better exposure, Top NIT tag and many other opportunities while these things might be less in IIITBH but you get better placement opportunities (branch wise)..at the end I'll say choose wisely and specially the core branches

Actually the cutoffs are not given by this College so even if I consider you of other state ( i.e. OTA category ) then also you can get Computer Engineering, IT, EEE, ETE here so I with home state you should get good branch here

Last year round 7 ki jo maximum cutoff ( JEE Mains not IIIT Rank since it's difficult to predict ) 149773 thi, so to be on safer side aapko ~88 percentile chahiye hogi to get atleast CSSS in IIIT Delhi

If you are okay with non core branch then go with NIT Rourkela... I feel the best option is to go with IIIT BBSR CSE or similar rank range IIIT's like IIIT Nagpur CSE, IIIT Trichi CSE ... in terms of placements and demand if you ultimately want to go for tech jobs Other options could be 𝟭. Electrical in NIT's Raipur , Hamirpur etc. 𝟮. Mechanical / Chemical Engineering branch in NIT's like Kurukshetra, Surat, Nagpur, Bhopal etc.

If you have decided that I want to build career in IT field then there is no point in studying Mechanical ( and side by side doing coding ) if you haven't decided then you can go for DTU

You can definitely can do coding side by side but keep this in mind that you should be comfortable with studing Mechanical also because you are gonna get marks based on this subject so maintaining a 8.5 CGPA is must for you and for that you can't neglect Mechanical too because companies won't allow you to sit for placement if you have low CGPA so hope you got my point

With this percentile, you can expect rank ~26k CRL and 6k category rank, and based on this rank and last year's cutoff, yes you can get CSE in this college ( These ranks are predicted so there might be some deviation in ranks and so in branch expected )

If you are OTA ( Open to All ) category, then aapki percentile( ~50k rank ) ke acc. mushkil lag rha h ki koi branch mille, cuz jo least cutoff thi kisi bhi branch ki, vo 37294 thi, so let's hope for the best... and if you are from odissa state, then admission is based on merit and cutoffs are not revealed by the college..

You can go with IIIT Bhubaneswar though the facilities could be better in VIT but due to presence of like minded people.. coding culture I think is better in IIITBh but if you want diverse minds around you and huge campus with better facilities and fee is not an issue for you then csn go for VIT...
