Hello. It just looks like any other Insta360 and I've had the X3. The first time I looked at the video from that camera I thought that there was something wrong with it. Then I noticed that everyones videos look the same as long as the camera was not moving fast. The Ace pro examples look just like that. Not good. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens I have been cycling and paddle boarding with the ace pro since I purchased it. I used gopro for several years and I always wished it would not just go dark when I went into the shadows. This camera does not go dark. Regarding overage quality: In my findings of how to set the camera up for my use case, the outcome quality does not make me feel like I have to edit it, and I alway edit in Premiere. I suspect that many users had not set the camera up properly. Sometimes I think it is intentional from some reviewers. Lower the sharpness and the EV and the camera will lock in your settings and you will not get the stupid images that your buddy displayed to the world. Truly, if my GoPro would perform as great as the Ace Pro I would return the Ace Pro because it is still inside the returen window.

Personally I like the insta360 cameras in general, but I agree that the action 4 and GoPros have better image quality for action cameras. Now, I think Insta360 camera cost more in general, because they probably subsidized it with their app, which personally find way better to use then any other. They all have their use. Personally I like Gopros, but insta360 Go 3 is currently my favorite at the moment.

Insta360 is nice for their innovations. I prefer the X3 over some GoPro Max. Also the GO3 looks interesting. But the Ace Pro just is more of a vlogging cam than a real action cam. Particularly that you can't replace the lense. If you want a proper action cam, rather but the Action 4 than the Ace Pro. That's the cheaper route as well. 😅

Hello. I think the video looks the best on OA4. Hero 12 is really close and the Ace pro is a little bit behind. The Ace pro does have some unique features that the other two lack like pause recording and all the HDR AI. Battery life is good on both OA4 and Ace pro, Hero 12 falls behind. Honestly it's hard to say because they are all good cameras. My choice is OA4 because of the good video fidelity. Thanks for the comment.

First of, I agree that the DJI action 4 is a good action camera. Basing your opinion on the Ace Pro from another camera reviewer that you idolize so much makes you a joke of a content creator. You can just buy one to try it yourself since you are claiming that you are "Uncovering the truth" about it. Also, saying that you already have the X3 and assuming that it's the same image quality is so not cool. Imagine all of your future camera reviews will be solely based on your favorite content creator and not having the actual camera to come up with your own test and conclusion. Stop hating a camera because it's newer than the one that you already have. Be better.

If someone is looking for quality the answer is not an action cam...not Gopro, not action 4, not ace pro. Even the Pocket 3, with its 1-inche sensor, is not a serious contender for quality video. Insta360 ace pro however is trying to innovate by putting on the table something new at least. Mentioning Casey doesn’t make him a clown. Besides in this video he mentioned other creators as well all in good context. You cannot buy all cameras just try as you are not a big channel and you don’t know his situiation. Even bigger channels don’t haste buying it. And he is not alone as there are more real use case scenarios that report about its focus issue, misty issue and more. It is the first model as Ace pro but also it is their chronic issue. I believe in my own eyes and take ANY reviewers with a grain of salt. I'm old fashioned and prefer to test the hardware myself and if it suits my needs and looks good to me, that's all that matters. Even the ones who say they aren't bias or ye old "brutal honest review" sayers, is a load of crap. If you're a content creator with a huge subscriber base, then you're a career content creator that depend on the number of audiences and likes, it's that simple. I use all 3 brands and know when I see innovation and potential, which to be honest, both house brands have been lacking lately.

Seems to be a lot of 'mixed' results. and more and more people using this in real world environments with good results.

I agree Bro but I have a 360 X2, I know it's not perfect with the image but I'm ok with that as it's a trade off to reframing later. I have GoPro 7, 8,9,10 & 11 as well as DJI pocket, Action 1, DJI Mini Pro 3 drone. They are all great fun to play around with but if I wanna get great images I use my Sony A7IV and A6700, I don't zoom in 300% on the footage I take so at the end of the day it is what it is. Just buy what suits you and have fun, as for subscribing I've been following you from your first posting. 🤙🏼

Dude, both cameras mount the Omnivision OV48C, same pixel size, same resolution. The only difference is that DJI is not opening the 8K and 48MP option to users, which are optional features on the insta 360. Do your part before releasing videos like this, you contribute to disinformation

Completely agree with most parts of this review, I don’t own an ace pro but I owned an x2 and now an x3, as well as an action 2&4, and if I compare my experiences with all of’em I always find the insta360 footage to be hard to grade, the colors are bad, the sharpness, the artifacts, no matter the settings… Now I love my x3 and what it can do, ( will probably sell it for an x4) but having used gopros, instas and djis, I would definitely stick with dji products for now, it just looks way better to my eyes, and way easier to grade, etc… ace pro seems to have lots of “trendy” features, but the fundamentals, meaning image quality, is not there yet it seems.

My buddy had one when we went out kayaking and cave finding the sd card door barely got touched, fell off and water got inside the camera. They offered to replace it but he got his money back and went back to his oa4. This was the first weekend he had it btw. They told him they recommend a waterproof case for any water sports. Its more of a pocket vlog camera than an action camera but i bet the 2nd generation will be better

Having had both Osmo and GoPro cameras that had serious focusing issues recently, I am super pleased with the AcePro, which has been great. Though I love my DJI drones, the Osmo 3 focusing was unacceptable and never really resolved through weak software upgrades since it was a hardware problem. Going through customer service was a real hassle too. Respectfully, I think you need to spend more time with the AcePro as you are a bit uninformed in a couple of points: #1 - like all action cameras, the default settings are over-sharpened, but settings resolve this. #2 - you stated that the new chip doesn’t really add much? What about these features: A. Ability to take a photo while filming B. Much more responsive and quick interface C. AI features D. Pause & continue E. Almost lossless zoom F. Much better low light exposure & stabilization G. Gesture control H. Cancel recording I. AI highlights assistant J. Photo grab Etc., . . No other cameras have these features. I use them, so I find these features super convenient and helpful. So…for me, the slight additional cost is well worth it.

I have the Gopro hero 12 and DJI action 4 and my gopro just sits in the case. I only have 2 complaints about the action 4. 1. You cant shut the auto off off. Its max 30 mins then off. 2. Voice control doesn't work with 4k over 50 fps which i thinknis dumb.

I have the DJI Action 4. When the Ace Pro came out, I was kinda regretting getting the Action 4. I try to take vids of things like Christmas lights at night and walking at night with only neon signs or street lights. Every one of my vids look terrible. The Ace Pro seems to fix that issue? What am I doing wrong? I followed other peoples guides and settings and still everything looks terrible.

Hello. First of all this are action cameras so low light will always look bad but make sure that the shutter speed doesn't drop below 1/100s if the camera is moving. Also limit the ISO to 3200 and use a good denoiser in post. All good videos are denoised in post. Watch my last video where I go through the settings in a low light environment. Cheers!

Stabilizing the footage in camera in low light usually doesn't give very good results. You could turn the stabilization off in the Action 4 and use a gimbal. I think you'll be happier with that. If you don't want to go the gimbal route the Ace Pro might be somewhat better.

The biggest problem for me is stabilization. It had to work better in lowlight, but it's not. And this option for better stabilize in lowlight keeps turning off.

3:14 Why? Because it sells. People are told that more is better (which isn't true) and higher number make the camera look better and people buy it. That's really all there is to it. One of my old cameras is a ten year old 16MP DSLR and the video from that camera is in many situations still better than some modern high pixel camera. 🙃

I personally think if you need action that the original two or still better. But I think there is a few features that the pro has that is a selling point for somebody like me. I cannot stand editing and I think there's a growing amount of creators that are just normal people that like to create videos but don't like to edit. Ace pro makes eduting essier than the other other 2. I can film in free mode and easily swap between wide and vertical for different social media platforms in the editing software. The pause and start feature I think is really helpful to cut down on editing and removing excess footage. I do think the ace pro has some draw backs of course

Hello. From what I've seen even in low sharpnes setting it's still going to be way sharper than the Osmo but it depends how sensitive you are to that. I prefer post-production sharpness where I have most control. Thanks for the comment.

Pa videti je, da ima precej lepšo kakovost (bittrate), ampak gremo na angleščino, kjer ti pomaga pri (s e o) 🫣 When I watch the comparison between OA4 and Ace Pro, it seems like Insta has low bitrate and high compression besides too much artificial sharpening, which is especially noticeable on people’s faces. I have two new camera in my arsenal, one has great imagine quality and the other one is very easy to use and very fun. I have in my hands the new Dji Pocket 3 and the Insta360 Go 3. My most use camera is the insta360 go 3, the much fun I have with this camera makes me realize that imagine quality is not that important, for youtube, instagram and etc, the majority people these days just consume media in there smartphones small screen. This tiny camera makes me want to record everything everytime. The size, the magnetics, the wireless monitor and the all accessories that came in the box with this camera, for me, makes all other action cams obsolete. Insta360 go 3 is the best camera releases in years. If I want quality I record using a mirroless camera with nice glass or the gimmick Dji pocket 3 (which is a very nice camera).

I still do it for my professional work (only for some clients) but for my daily videos, family and etc I just want to capture the moment.

I'm very sure that the Insta360 Ace Pro brings a lot for many prospective users out there, but for me on a personal use case perspective it does not fit the bill. It attempts to do all the work for you. The problem for me is that it is limited to whatever output Insta360 has predetermined... what if you do not like their "baked-in" look?

The problem is that the focus plane is further than the face because it's a hyperfocal camera. Everything closer than cca 3m will be out of focus. Thanks for the comment.

They are Action Cams. Now, you can complain that there are not many vlogging cams on the market, but if you use them for vlogging please dont complain the focus isnt optimized for vlogging distance. I dont want a blurry image in my sports footage because some KZbinr had to see his face even sharper (I for one am happy if that picture of my face is not too sharp, lol) So in the end its different horses for different courses. The Osmo Pocket is way better for filming your face in an arms distance, so go for it.

Lol, Osmo Action 4 sucks big time in low light, pretty useless IMO. Action cameras are meant for action shots not for vlogging. Casey is a weirdo that likes to see his face everywhere, lol. He should use the right camera for the job. By the way, a simple diopter kit lens will fix this close focus problem. INSTA360 Ace Pro videos are excellent compare to the DJI/GoPro and even better at night. DJI/GoPro are more durable though for action stuff (get them if you're jumping off the cliff and land on concrete, lol).

Hello. This was a video based on first impressions of the initial reviews and the camera looked a bit disappointing. It's too expensive for what it gives so the OA4 is a better choice on my option. Thanks for making this. I bought an Ace pro as soon as it was launched and only then started watching the reviews on YT. All of those guys who were probably given the camera for free were raving about the video quality and showing direct comparisons with the DJI and GoPro cameras. It was obvious to me that there was much less detail in the Ace pro image and it felt like I was the only one who could see it. As soon as my camera arrived I compared with my GoPro 11 and can confirm that the image quality from the Ace pro is garbage. It might have some nice features and is good in low light but if the daytime image is soft then what's the point? I sent my camera back the very next day.

Let me see if i got this straight: you havent shown us a single piece of footage from the Ace. You are talking about the O4 as if your footage actually looked *that* good. You are talking down on the X 360 footage while it looks just fine (at least for a 360° footage). And your point is? So im just supposed to take your very biased word for it? You can’t review a product without the product 😂 also you said why would you need an AI chip well there are many reasons like keeping the important stuff in your video clips. The camera is really good 😊 it has a big sensor for low light and a flip up screen which is better than the Action 4’s front screen because it is smaller plus you never talked about the flip screen which is one of the best features. Also it has 8k so next time buy the product and don’t be biased.

Both cameras suck ass to be honest. Because each camera has some cons compared to other, might as well not buy either of them. I tried using a gopro hero 9 as a 360 camera. It's such a terrible camera. Here me out. I know it's not advertised as a 360 camera, but it shouldn't matter. By my logic, it should work in every scenario that I need it to work.
