This was one of the most helpful videos on small ship "cruising" - thank you.

@@KurtPapke We are giving serious thought to going in 2022. For your first couple days in Juneau, did you arrange it through Uncruise as a pre-departure "land package", or did you book the hotel and arrange transportation to/from the airport yourself. The Uncruise "land packages" seemed to be on the steep side, but perhaps hotel rooms are at a premium in Juneau during the summer season. I do see the advantage of getting to Juneau a couple days prior to departure, and two hikes you took look great to me. It seems as if you didn't need a car once in Juneau. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

@@james5914 We booked airfare & hotels on our own. Didn’t bother renting a car - Juneau is small enough you don’t need one. We had no problems finding a hotel room FWIW. Enjoy!

@@KurtPapke Thank you! If our paths should ever cross in some concourse down the road, I'm buying you a beer!

Great video My wife and I did an Alaska cruise in July and we stopped in Juneau. I had to take a drink from the falls! Very metallic taste! Jaw dropping beautiful place.

This would be how I would do it. The thought of a "booze cruise" makes my skin crawl. And I HATE the mall. Excellent video, they should send you discounted fare for sharing this video!

This looks amazing! I do worry about sea sickness on a small ship. The food choices look great.

Lyn Eggleston good question. The ship was very stable, though to be fair we didn’t experience any big storms during our week aboard.

Have they been able to stay in business with covid?
@KurtPapke3 жыл бұрын
Looks like it. Apparently they were not impacted by the Canada big ship cruise ban. They have a brochure for 2021-22 on their website.

@@KurtPapke next year will be my 25th anniversary with my wife & im researching things to do.... possibly Yellowstone trip might be in our budget. Your vacation did look very enjoyable. We live in upstate SC in the shadows of table rock area.

There is much pent up demand for travel after 15 months of COVID. Make reservations early.

Like #14, FW, as always! We did almost this exact cruise, but with a big ship, and would NEVER do it again! Even tho we had a slider, with an awesome view, it was cattle call dinner and stupid expensive excursions...oh well, we went back the next year and rented an RV...much better! Glad you got to go, Kurt! 🙋♀️Lisa (we were just in your neck of the woods, camped/hiked Mt Lemmon...check out our next vid of it!)

Interesting. Our trip was not inexpensive, but we figured this was a once in a lifetime trip. I'll check out your Lemmon video today!
