This bed fishing season was so disappointing due to flooding. I caught 2 fish off a bed then Lewisville got 4’ high and all the beds were too deep to see. Then they dropped the lake back to normal for a day or 2 then it flooded again. Now its 4’ high again. I had a great pre spawn January-Mid March but fishing sucks now except for in ponds where the water level stays consistent

I’ve had This big too water bat lure by savage gear for a while, I Haven’t really thrown it much. This year I wanna throw it more 👍🏻 I am actually trying to catch a PB pike on it but I think a big bass will eat it just fine too!?

Biggest top water was only 3 pounds on a whopper plopper. Biggest bass I ever lost was 6 or 7 pounds throwing a frog on a 7ft medium mlb abu garcia for the first time ever had no clue what I was doing hence the rod lol, on a giant lake called cross creek (giant lake for around me) and my frog addiction started even though I didnt catch it the blow up itself just was a massive adrenaline rush.

I've been so tempted to buy a high end fishing kayak for some time now. the biggest thing holding me back is battling the wind and working baits like the frog sitting down, just seems so inconvenient. but not having enough room at my house for a boat and my local lakes not really having real ramps or allowing motors are pushing me towards a yak.

Biggest topwater catch is around 6lbs for me. It's so fun to see all that water splash around when they hit. I've lost a lot of bites on the SK popping Perch. Compared to other brands the frog plastic material is stiff. I'm thinking the fish aren't biting hard enough to expose the hooks. Maybe I got a dud? I've tried boiling it but it just stiffens up over time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hmm, that’s odd cause it’s my favorite frog by far, I legitimately hardly ever miss them on it. Maybe it’s hookset strength or just your fish being smaller? Or maybe you got a dud, that’s weird

@@TylersReelFishing I'm not giving up on that brand/model. It's the best at pushing water in that style, I've found. I really think it's a body firmness thing. Other frogs I have are much squishier and have no issue hook setting those. I've boiled it and it gets to the softness I expect but then hardens up over time again as it cools. But I also wouldn't put it past it being a "me" issue. I'll buy a couple more and see if they're any different.

one thing that can help with missed fish on the frog is bending the hooks just a millimeter or two off the back of the frog

I love the video but I will never understand that thumbnail trend of the extra large head, it seems to be common among fishing KZbinrs, but something about it just looks a bit cartoonish and a bit unappealing. Not to say that it takes away from the content because it doesn’t, that’s still great.
