Michael Jordan played five seasons without Scottie Pippen 84-85 38-44..First round exit 85-86. 30-52..First round exit 86-87. 40-42...First round exit 01-02. 37-45..out of playoffs 02-03. 37-45..out of playoffs LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only nine NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate Rick Barry (1975) Bill Walton (1977) Hakeem Olajuwon (1994) Tim Duncan (2005) (2007) Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010) Steph Curry (2015) (2022) LeBron james (2016) Kawhi Leonard (2019) Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021) As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO LeBron james has won 10 conference championships Michael Jordan won 6......Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones have more conference championships (In a mostly nine team league) than LeBron James In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were 83-84 bulls 27-55 84-85 bulls. 38-44 92-93 bulls 57-25 93-94 bulls 55-27 98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen 00-01 wizards 19-63 01-02 wizards. 37-45 02-03 wizards 37-45 03-04 wizards 25-57 02-03 cavaliers 17-65 03-04 cavaliers 35-47 09-10 cavaliers 61-21 10-11 cavaliers 19-63 09-10 heat. 47-35 10-11 heat 58-24 14-15 heat 37-45 2013-14 cavaliers 33-49 2014-15 cavaliers 53-29 2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32 2018-19 cavaliers 19-63 2017-18 lakers. 35-47 2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day. As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank. Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck. THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!! I have added a Postscript So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

@@vicepresidentmikepence889 lebron played weaker opponents, and stayed in the east specifically to have an easy road to the finals. But once he got to the finals and had to play better opponents, he failed more often than he won. Lebronda can dunk and flop, thats about it. Oh and fallate himself, he does that more than any other player as well
If you think Michael Jordan is the greatest , usually you bring up his accolades , his peak performances , his iconic moments , his basketball skill, and his impact to turn a losing franchise like the pre 1984 Chicago Bulls into one of the most noticeable sports brands in sports history because of winning. When people usually say Lebron is the GOAT , they have to attempt to tear down Michael Jordan’s era , talk about his teammates , talk about his opponents , talk about immeasurable things like “playing in the social media era” The comparison is never head to head from a Lebron Jame’s fan perspective. Head to head Michael Jordan won more , accomplished more , and dominated his era better - and he did it in less time. Logically it’s hard to say Lebron is better.

Exactly this, LBJ fans/media always have to downplay what MJ did to get people into thinking what he did was not impressive. Then they use false narratives like “he didn’t win until Pippen came”, “was just a scorer”...use hypotheticals like “MJ would never take the 07 Cavs to the finals”, “”MJ would never beat the the GSW” etc Then on the other side they prop up everything LBJ does as if he did some “unthinkable” task that no one else can do. They never give an actual argument.

This right here! If there was ever an argument to debate, it's the possibility of how many more championships Jordan would have won by team hopping. Jordan's staying with Chicago, and allowing a team to be built around him was waaaayy more advantageous than going to other teams and learning to play with new players. Grant, Armstrong, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, brought talent to Chicago and learned to play with an already accredited Jordan, which made them one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.

Dr J, Bird, Magic, and Jordan were not telling people how to live their lives and how to think. They were just basketball players and did not go outside that boundary. Most of the criticism against LeBron is due to LBJ himself. LeBron's media bashing 24/7 was due to him saying bullshit things like 'his decision show', 'real world', 'he never played on superteam', 'he never flopped', etc. Jordan never made that mistake. He was pro at interviewing. Nevertheless, he faced a lot of criticism from early in his career. 'Good penetration but weak jump shot' -> became one of the best mid-range shooter of all time 'Scoring champions can't win championships' -> won scoring champion at every winning championship season 'He's good on offense, not so much on defense' -> 9 times all nba defensive 1st team with Dpoy 'Lacks the ability to lead a team to a championship like Magic Bird did' -> Won 6 championship (2x 3peat) which is more than Magic or Bird. This is how Jordan silenced all criticism of him with a game of basketball and became known as the GOAT. LeBron, on the other hand? He's the GOAT(Going On Another Team) also in his own way.

What I find odd is that Rich Paul mentions Kobe, but acts like Kobe wasn’t heavily scrutinized and compared to MJ all the time too during his career. Kobe didn’t necessarily deal with this modern era of social media sure but he was still heavily scrutinized and so were other superstars in the past. LeBron wasn’t the only or first one. I just don’t see how that correlates with being better than MJ or Kobe like Paul presents it lol. If anything, it gives wayy more credit to MJ for becoming THE standard and gives credit to Kobe also for being the absolute closest thing to MJ/the standard. Ima add a snippet that I like from an article. It’s some thoughts Kobe had and that I think fits with players like Kobe, MJ, Bron, and Magic: “In all, Kobe knows the real reason why this clutch argument against him continues to persist.” “People kind of get bored with things that I’ve done, so they try to find new ones to talk about or try to find numbers to justify certain things. That’s what happens when you win. I remember Magic and Michael [Jordan] going through similar things. Hey, the talk before was that I couldn’t do it without Shaq. Well I did that. And then I did it again. Now it’s something else. They’re always going to come for something else. But I win. We win.”

For a feeling of uplifting their game. Hence, the saying, "Like Mike."
