True but Jordan also had the greatest decline also pulling himself from the league. He was the greater athlete but is not the greatest player. Just my view. Bron has every skill and can play every position. Jordan could dominate 1 thru 3 but would struggle at 4 and 5 even in his Era. Bron could play all 5 positions in any Era. That's the sign of greatness.

Higher peak but how about consistency and longevity? I personally think that there is nothing wrong with having either Lebron or MJ as your GOAT. Jordan is very strong actually, not weight, but strong, with very wide shoulder and big hands. That actually helped him a lot in the air, he has almost flawless body controls on the air because of how strong he was. We saw Kobe guarding Lebron on the court 1:1 at age 34 with no problem. With MJ it’s even easier.

Whats Jay's forgetting is the fundamentals of a 1 on 1 , thats man is crazy. Mj would honestly dominate against bron prime vs prime; there's is nothing unavailable in mjs personal scoring arsenal that lebron can be consistent of stoping.

@tonymontana1410
@tonymontana1410 4 жыл бұрын
@@inboundcow8323 first of all, learn how to spell. 2n of all Mj is the best 1 on 1 player ever , when playing 5 on 5 is a completely different dynamic. Mjs scoring arsenal far surpasses bron in any fashion of the game, and he would honesty lock up bron . Itz not even a debate who s the better on ball defender( MJ ofcourrse). The only chance bron has ,its his post up game but the master of the post fade away is MJ. So does lebron really have a chance to beat MJ in his own game ,least than likely. Jay Williams is drunk and clearly a dummy. The 3 would not be effective in this 1 on 1 match up . Mj is faster and jumps higher than lebron so the 2 inch height difference wont matter. The only thing bron got going for him its his size, so the only thing that would make sense is his post up game. Other than that there's nothing MJ couldnt guard that lebron will throw at him. Like I said when yur this great, your 1 on 1 fundamentals are way more important than just sheer size brother.
@inboundcow8323
@inboundcow8323 4 жыл бұрын
Tony Montana yo relax, LeBron post fade is still pretty nice ( just look up game 2 v Toronto last year LeBron can just body him, post up, 3 three back dribbles and get mj off balance . Mj only jumps 2-3 inches higher so that doesn’t matter and u acting like LeBron has no skill in the one on one, when LeBron drives to the hoop it’s almost impossible to stop 1 on 1, you need help d to stop that, he has the most deadly driveI’ve every seen, if.u cut him off he just spins and finishes on the opposite sidemuscles through the contact, LeBron is also much stronger and is fast as well, lastly don’t tell me i need learn to spell when you need to do it too 😂

The closest (modern day) defensive comparison to MJ would be Spurs Kawhi, who Lebron hated playing against. They even have similar hand sizes. But MJ's offensive bag was more developed earlier on than Kawhi's. And while he was physically smaller than Lebron, he was just as athletic. And his game is better suited for 1-on-1.

Weight makes a big difference in basketball. If you don't weigh a lot, on offense your movement can be altered more easily. On defense, it's harder to alter the offensive player's movement. For rebounding, same situation.

@@courylanders8647 you can be thin and still weight a lot when you're tall. Duncan weighed about the same as Lebron. Garnett did too. Durant is close to Lebron. Furthermore, you can be the lightest person on the court and still be the best scorer, even the best rebounder, even the best defender. Agreed that strength, toughness, and durability can make up for lack of size. My only point was that weight does make a big difference in basketball. All other attributes equal (ex: height, speed, metal toughness, etc), someone with more weight is at an advantage than the person with less weight.

@Power Line Bron lost his one on one vs Kawhi, never had to face Kobe in his prime, and when they did, was never a good thing for Bron, even with Kobe trying to kinda mentor him. And we seeing it more now: LeBron is RUNNING from one on ones. And MJ was better than both Kawhi and Kobe but being similar to them: LeBron would've never accepted a duel vs MJ like he has never done it vs Kobe or he is avoiding Kawhi now, after he saw how he could ruin his game while he was in his prime vs Kawhi's being young. Bron is not build for those one on one things, he avoided that exposure because he is such a freak of nature and a unique type of player, but a final game vs Kobe or this Prime Kawhi would necessitate him to change his game earlier, as he is doing now, a more passing and Magic style of play. Asking LeBron to win a 1 on 1 vs a such gifter guard as MJ is like to ask Shaq to beat Curry on 3s. I mean ok, but what's the point

Lebron is the most physically gifted player ever with padded stats since he came out of hs and played against a weak eastern conference for 10 years. Jordan is naturally going to have less stats when you go to school for 3 years and retire for 2 years in your prime but MJ was the better basketball player. So stats don't count. Championships are 6-0 with a likelihood of 8-0 if he played those 2 years. You can't be GOAT when you lose as many times as Lebron has in the finals. When Lebron joined up with his boyfriend for some fun on the beach the expectations were 5+ titles. If that happened he could have passed MJ. Reality is he didn't show up vs an inferior Dallas team and got his ass locked up by Kidd and Barea. Jordan put fear in his opposition come nba finals. Dallas smelled the pussy in Bron

One on one every time Kobe and LeBron squared up Kobe ate his lunch🤷🏽‍♂️. There was a statical breakdown of all their matchups and Kobe was hands down the better player. So there’s no way LeBron would dominate MJ one on one, but it would be a great series

@@tylerreigle6462 I don't refute your stats, but they are representative of team results. I was referring to KB vs LBJ...player vs player. We can't make a substantiated comparison for MJ vs LBJ, because they never played each other, but the closest to MJ was KB and KB vs LBJ, player vs player...KB was better. That said, MJ reigns supreme as the GOAT, then KB...then further down the line comes LBJ.

That T-shirt Guy Under 30 year olds believe LeBron is the goat... Everyone who saw MJ play knows he's the best. There is a reason people call you the "Michael Jordan" of something if you are the best in it.

You call MJ the GOAT because, you all are brainshawed. MJ was the GOAT of marketing but, on the court you guys seem to forget Hakeem Olajuwon. Hakeem is so underrated I cannot believe my eyes that his name is never mentionned. Hakeem was as strong mentally then Jordan and he was very quick for a Center. Also, you guys forgot how Wilt Chamberlain was strong and how Bill Russell was smart but, they played in a different era wich is why you cannot compare MJ to these guys. MJ is the one of the best of his era but, you simply cannot say he is the GOAT.
