It's amazing how your game's entire aesthetic appears to be straight out of the N64 days. I got all nostalgic just watching that boss intro . . . for a game I've never played. Incredible work!

Amazing cutscene! It's super badass! One small issue I have is of the 2 side shots of the hydra make it look small and it fully reveals the monster before the absolutely badass frontal reveal w/ title. You could fix it by doing 2 close up shots instead. With that said, I definitely want to keep tabs on your project. If you've got good gameplay to go with it you've really got something.

Loved its intro shot. First head comes in and you're like "oh, snek, not too bad." And then the other heads come in all decayed and creepy, and you're like "nope nope nope" Reminded me of the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls. Also that bit of Zelda style boss name text was *chefs kiss*.

Just some feedback as asked. Super cool and I love the atmosphere and the idea of the hydra at different decomp stages (although I think the middle stage could be clearer and more decomposed especially as the fog hides alot of clarity. Perhaps as the player views it from the right, it should be that side that is decomposed and not the other as it currently is). I think the continuous animation of the heads gets a bit noisy and should be toned back and simplified so as not to be too distracting. I also think the heads should lead the writhing animation as the head and neck seem a bit disjointed (an example of this would be in snake pass where the head leads and the body follows after). Great work so far and looking forward to more!

I love Blender, I love unreal, but I feel like I still have so much to learn before I will be close to being able to make something people will want to play. But watching your videos makes me realize you can find beauty in simplicity, I don't need to be able to model every character in AAA detail, I can just make what looks cool. Not sure this makes sense, but still, thank you.

Wow!!! Incredibly cool boss. I can't wait to buy your game! I've always wanted to make my own N64/Zelda-like PC game. I actually found your dev logs when looking to see if anyone else had done it already. I hope more games like yours pop up in the future (and that mine will be among them.) Maybe my age is showing, but N64 had this unique feeling and now has a very special kind of nostalgia that I can't get enough of.

Really Cool that you're making a game based on N64 style graphics and nostalgia but modernized in current time. The funny thing is even though there are so many Zelda games out as of yet the one that stays in my head the most and music wise even is still N64's Ocarina of Time. Your game looks great and seems like it would have that same feeling I got when playing yrs ago! 👍🏼

Too often indie devs rely on "retro" graphics as a crutch to mask their shitty art. I'm glad to see this is not the case here. Beautifully executed. If you'd shown me that cutscene without context I would have thought it's a genuine boss from Ocarina of Time. I hope this game is gonna happen one day. I look forward to it. Have a nice day.

Thats a narrow view of retro indie games, most of the time simple graphics have wonderfull gameplay attached to it.

Wow, this looks so fantastic. The atmosphere is great, and it matches the N64 aesthetic perfectly. It's so beautiful. I don't know if the boss name part is in-game or just for the video, but I think it's too similar to Zelda and you should remake it in your own style. And it's likely you'll probably disagree with me, but I feel the same about the name. I think you should think of a name that gives it its own identity and that sticks out.

Really cool boss intro, it really does have that N64 look to it. But I think the white water particles should fall back down into the water and/or fade out after being kicked up, instead of suddenly disappearing. For me it is super easy to do in Effekseer. Not sure how good the particle animation stuff is in Unreal.
