I'm glad to see you're finally putting some actual burn in hours in... It really opens up after 200 hours.

This amp really needed the 🔥. I couldn’t say what it originally sounded like without rating this video “mature content”.

UPDATE: I have a Sony STR-DH 790 and it has been wonderful. NOW thinks you your review, I don't have to make a mistake. I agree finding some Cheap AVR used will be so much better than dealing with an implementation that doesn't have power. The whole point of using this instead of a sound bar is for using a good LR solution to replace a Bose sound bar. I guess this means there needs to be a good budget Theater processor that enable usage of any amp. Imagine replacing a Bose sound bar with a ARC processor feeding a Sansui 2000. I have seen the devices that only output RCA but I have read criticisms about their sound quality. even if I had friends, I don't know why I would blue tooth in and out. I need a cheap ARC implementation to run some passive speakers. I want to replace my parent's Bose sound bar, but they are known to remove speakers from their solution.

Great video. Maybe at some point you can review more mid to higher end gear. It would be great to get your discerning opinion on those.

Alas, I will be snide. Perhaps the Acrylic B50 is the Diane Bish of audio. (By contrast, Ken Cowan is fabulous). She was not well thought of when I was in music school, then graduate school for music. A female Liberace. That said, this is a super helpful video, quirks aside. So thank you!

does diane bish sound better using an r2r dac?

Reading through the comments today is a never ending need to defend the woman of my dreams. But yes, an r2r DAC does smooth out Bish a bit.

Hey Einstein, so much to comment on. There is Good News and Bad News. You can decide. Diane Bish has been dethroned. The New Queen is Cherry Wainer. Cherry playing "Last Night" makes me dance and Diane puts me to sleep. I think Helmholtz is dead or overrdosed on Diane. The Arylic B50 sounds magnificent with my Wilson Audio Chronosonic XVX and I had them painted the same color as your jacket. Enough good news for now.

Hello, the arylic claims that the amplifier can be connected to a PC via usb-c. My PC does not have this port, will it work with a computer via data cable usb-c - usb-a?

I get the science part. But what about the audiophile part? As in a review of a product that may not suck. As David Byrne sang so well: Still waiting, still waiting . .

Still gotta get some, but took advantage of a friend's decision to give Tidal $ every month. I kinda like steaming...as long as I'm not paying for it. Anyway, we told Tidal to play her and just damn! I have a few pipe organ records. Even have a freakin' awesome direct to disc, but I have never had an organist on the top of my "must find" list before. She definitely has a new fan.

A product that can ruin Queen Diane must be really really poor
@scientificaudiophile Жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, most products can ruin Diane Bish. I went to a Southern Church once to hear her live and I got into a shouting match with the minister over the reverberation level and he refused to let me put up sound absorption I keep in my trunk. Needless to say that experience was terrible listening to her live outside because I was forbidden from ever going into that church again.
Sounds like a terrible book. Trains cannot operate on steep grades without being winched.

It's a great book for encouraging kids to struggle to overcome adversity but I agree. It totally fails at providing any practical railroad engineering knowledge.
