BEAUTIFUL Charger. While I live in a small town with a population of 3400 back in the late 80's and early 90's and at that time there was one 68 Charger, five 69 Charger RT's and two 70 RT's in town and other than the 68, the rest were immaculate and show quality including a 69 that was literally the identical twin to the one featured in this video but it had 30,000 miles instead of 17,000 miles and had its original paint. The 68 and one 70 are still around but the others were sold outside of the area within the last 20 years. It was really cool seeing when all of the owners get them together on a weekly basis.

Great episode, Lou! What a beautiful car in pristine condition. My first car was a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T in Plum Crazy (purple). Bought it used in 1976 when I was 18. Very much like this one with the 440, except mine had power steering (big car--hard to imagine not having PS!). Main difference was that mine had been through 6-7 Michigan winters (ugh). Sold it in 1981...yes, to my regret! I wanted something that got better gas mileage, as I was getting ca. 9 mpg in the Charger.

An iconic car, and amazing to see two of the 2nd gen Chargers in the same video! This video prompted me to look up some details on the 68-71 Charger. The iconic body, including the concealed headlights, "flying buttress" roofline, Coke bottle styling with the chrome gas camp atop the "haunches" were standard across the Charger line-up. Although these cars are celebrated for the big-block V-8's, including the Hemis, the base model was available with the slant six (although I doubt any were delivered that way). Glad that the owner decided to keep the car.

This 1969 Dodge Charger was, and stillstill is, a beautiful car. My favorite design feature was the buttressed rear roof section. As beautiful as the '69 Charger is, my choice would be the '68 model without the divided grille, and the round tail lamps. The late 60s to early 70s Dodges and Plymouths had great styling.

Almost all the 60's cars had "hips" like you point out (owner calls it "like a coke bottle") and this part got me thinking. Isn't it interesting that when we give a car "hips" like this, and what most muscle cars have, that we don't view it as being "girly" like wide hips on a girl? Instead when we give this shape to machinery, our brains interpret this wide hip stance as a "muscle" stance, rather than a girly stance? I mean, it really looks awesome and super tough to me as well. I just come to realize how this should be seen backwards, like more in nature; nice curves, looking more woman like, but it's obviously very masculine looking when we see a car with hips like this. I dunno why, it just occurred to me. I guess because he used the term sometimes men (and even other straight women) use to describe a woman like; "wow, did you see her, she has a body like a coke bottle". I suppose this is what triggered this thought. Anyway lol, cool to come and find out it's low mile survivor.
@loucostabile Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, interesting point. Seems to me when I see the "hips" on a car it reminds me more of what a horse looks like from the side / back. Hmmm, just thought about what it would look like to have tail lights on a horses hind end :-) Happy to read "cool to come and find out it's low mile survivor.". Lou

What I find unusual is the automatic selector on the column. Most muscle car fans would prefer four on the floor and a pistol grip. Short of that you have to have a console and the automatic selector located there. The 440 magnum was the best bang for the buck and equal to the 426 hemi in a drag race.

So amazing, big bro Lou!! WOW. What a beautiful and super sexy Charger, man. I was watching this video in my sweat pants jacked up to my knees to show my ever present baseball tubesocks, in my tubesocked stocking feet (as always), those stocking feet doing a bit of a hyper guy bop dance as I am checking out this green Charger, and I hear my girlfriend let out a scream! I crane my neck around and see my floppy DC sneakers literally levitating and bopping against the door, trying to get out! "Let those those boys out, babe!" I said! She shakingly opened the door and they flew out, no doubt to you, Lou!!! I see you doing a Bruce Lee jump and grab, and if you can at least keep those boys in the backseat of Chris' Charger, they will no doubt settle down lol 😂. The way you showcased this Jessica Rabbit Dodge is EPIC, Lou. And that chase between you and big bro Chris was hilarious🤣🤪. Imagine seeing 2 Chargers from this vintage doing a punch and grab?! WOW. Nice Car ! Beyond that I dunno what to say ? because I have an even nicer unrestored/unrebuilt 1969 Charger R/T SE survivor example in factory X9 Black sitting in my garage, albeit, the odometer says 154,000 miles ? Just say'in.... and I have full ownership provenance on mine back to when sold brand new in San Diego Ca... but my Broadcast Sheet is in far nicer condition as is it's Fender Tag and on and on and on.... albeit, although still running well it is starting to show some Blow-by at the V/Cover breather ? What are these Cars worth nowadays in 'original' unrestored V/Good condition ??????

Did he have Medical training or did he just have a brain storm and develop something?? When you Google his name, it is like he doesn't exist, nothing comes up!
