I went out and purchased one from Amazon. They were out of inventory so the order went directly to China. It took almost a month to receive. And I am totally impressed... A very minor intonation adjustment was required for the top E string. And, after playing it, my fingers turned black. I tore the whole thing down to inspect it and to change the strings. No further adjustments were required. The inside is very clean and organized. Pots have no issues or noise that you mentioned. I could not get a good signal from the bridge. I then realized that they had plastic over the neck and bridge pickups but not the center pickup. Once removed, everything was good. I'll tell you, this guitar plays and sounds better than any of the Squires or Harley Benton's that I own. I'm really impressed.

I just got this guitar a couple of days ago. I can’t believe this is what you get for the money. This is no doubt the absolute best deal in guitar that you can find today. Nothing else even comes close. The best fretwork I’ve ever seen on any guitar I’ve picked up which is insane. The action is so low with no buzz and the roasted neck feels amazing. Fender should be ashamed. This guitar blows it away. The value is unprecedented. I do wish I could be saying this about an American company however but I’m giving credit where it’s due and Eart guitars is doing it right. This is the first guitar I’ve bought brand new that didn’t have something wrong with it. My Charvel dk24 with roasted maple neck has inferior fretwork to this Eart which I’m pissed about and that’s a $1000 guitar. I even bitched to Charvel about it. Thank you for doing such a great job on explaining the features on this guitar (most individuals leave out the neck shape, which is of MAJOR importance to me). The guitar looks and sounds great (kinda funky headstock...but most in this price range are) and the pups sound really good. The only disappointing thing I heard from you is that the neck on that guitar is thin and good for shredders (not a shredder myself). That's a real shame to, because it's hard to find a 7.5 to 9.5 compound radius neck anywhere in any size. My hands are average size but I still need a soft V or a mid sixties C for my comfort. So If I bought this guitar I would re-paint it, relic it and change the neck to a Fender 50s Classic Player soft V replacement neck (which even though they jacked the price up another $100.00 it's still my go to neck for builds) and still walk away with a great guitar under $600.00 (something I have done many times and for many years). Thanks again.

Was on the hunt for an SSS guitar (my guits are all humbuckers) and prefer fast necks. Stumbled on this in a poorly lit pawn shop, it had suffered cosmetic damage during shipping. Asked the storekeeper to google specs and for some reason wouldn't click Eart's site just amazon, only determined the body was mahogany. Could tell the thin neck was a little dark and the frets were smooth with rounded ends. Picked it up for $70. Was surprised when I got home realized it had a baked maple neck, seemingly stainless steel frets and a heat treated body. Eart's site says 24 frets but it's 22, says nickel/silver then says stainless steel frets. The neck can't be much more than 19mm thick at the 1st fret, rare on a strat type guit. There's no shielding in the cavities, doesn't hum-cancel, cheap electronics, nut, bridge and tuners but hey, easily remedied.

When you do ball ends on the frets you have to do them before putting them on the fretboard. At least that’s how I do it and I couldn’t imagine being able to do that while they’re already installed. As long as you have a set of calipers there shouldn’t be any issue rounding them off before installing.
@DanielRodriguez-eh1qd3 жыл бұрын
@GOD&GUNS interesting. I’d be too worried about damaging the fretboard. Plus they’re so much easier to get done beforehand. I can work the file over much quicker without having the neck in the way.

@GOD&GUNS highline guitars got me into doing them that way. I originally followed how he did them with the dremel and sanding wheel. But after getting inconsistent fret ends with that method I just use my baroque fret file and I get a nice ball end. After I get the end shape I want I just keep shaving off little by little until the width matches up with the caliper measurement. Once you set them you can start leveling.

would have liked to hear how the tremo works..or if it stays in tune after using it..i would guess not since there is no locking nut..

I think they make a headless strandberg style as well. Pretty cheap on Amazon.

I purchased the Eart headless model and I love it. I was looking at Keisels but the price tag is too much for me. If you are thinking about buying an Eart do it.

Omg sorry Max I've been watching your vids for years and hadn't subbed yet! Subbed. Okay fixed that. You're seriously one of the most talented guitarists on KZbin and that's saying a lot. Keep doing what you're doing- you're an inspiration in terms of spot on rhythm playing and perfectly-timed runs. We all appreciate your mastery of our mutual 6-stringed buddy.

Yes...more Eart guitar reviews. Do they feature any Es-335 style axes and Semi-hollow bass guitars, preferably short scale, like Sire and Harley Benton? Headless Strandburg style would also be great...Thanks Max !!!

EART even has a cool Guitar Called the EAT-1. I had to help them with a few upgrades to their ebay and amazon sites. They are new in the ways of the West. Thanks for reviewing them.

Wow. The neck alone is worth $200. Roasted maple, compound radius, stainless frets. Very cool.

I own two Eart Guitars and love them...the quality and options make this guitar a great deal. Rear wheel means Spoke Wheel type truss rod adjuster. The Frets are Stainless Steel. they use quality electronics. I like all the People at Eart. If you Buy a Guitar from them, they put your picture on the wall of the factory. Thanks for this video. The Tones sounded excellent. Please Review the Headless Guitar. I have the Tele NK-C1 ( my favorite) and a Les Paul.

Can you assure us that the model shown here does have a roasted maple neck, as a buyer? Max didn't really show the neck here.

@@blazinkid5178 I didn't buy his model..I got the tele style and it indeed has a roasted maple neck and stainless frets.

Just checked Amazon. They have a small, but, awesome selection of Earth guitars. Well worth the look! I wish I knew a couple of months ago before I purchased my beginner's Strat.

More Eart guitars, please. For sure, the Tele and 335. Would also love to see you review some of the Inyen Vina (IYV, but have to search for "IVY" on Amazon) guitars. I played a strat style and thought it was fabulous for the price. Thanks for all you do!

"I'm imagining someone with a Weber...you know like a BBQ grill...". 🤣🤣🤣. I think I might start calling all roasted necks "charcoal grilled". Another great find and informative video. You truly do serve the people. 🤘🎸

More than solid. I have this guitar and the Eart Explorer 1 and the quality is fucking mind blowing. Get one before they get high.

Thanks for this find! The fretwork has always been my biggest issue ordering directly from Chinese companies rather than through an import brand. EArt seem to have everything else in the budget market beat on this one metric.

Hey Max, thanks for reviewing this Eart Stratr style model. I received the Eart blue headless hardtail bridge w2 model last night and I am very happy with the quality of it. Plays great and the pickups are quite good. I recommend this brand for sure. I would like you to review their 335 style Semi-hollow body guitar.

If you ever come across one you should try out an ANTHEM guitar. Theyre a brand under Chesbro Music Co that is now defunct due to trademark issues with the name. They made guitars for about 2 years under that brand and made some very high quality affordable guitars. I highly recommend their superstrat models, they play and sound amazing. They still exist but are called Teton guitars now and are a little bit more expensive than they were.

I bought a "EART Headless Electric Guitar fixed Bridge" last August. I could not figure out how the bridge worked. There was no "documentation" with the guitar. I emailed EART with very specific questions (like how to adjust intonation and how to restring) and did get replies, which were again mostly indecipherable or wrong. It did play OK but nothing special. Tuning required a little tool. The crack I found in the body near the neck was the last straw, and back it went to Amazon.

Loving the Conan shirt, Max ! I'm curious about that hollowbody, on the site you showed. I see one on eBay, it looks beautiful, and the design of the headstock is great, with straight string pull. But you never know about things like neck dive, or if the humbuckers are good-sounding, and it has some secret hatch to get to the truss rod. Also cheesey how they wrote 'love rock' where some guitars would say les paul model. Though it's a 330-style guitar. You should be on primetime, or late night. Your humor is impossible to ignore ! Love your channel ! -Andy !
